The Halloween Trick or Trot 5K/10K/13.1 event is part of the Virtual Run/Running Club series, designed to help participants achieve their race goals and lead a healthier lifestyle. This annual Halloween Run offers a unique opportunity to combine fitness with fun, featuring a range of races from 5K to 13.1 Half-Marathon. The event will take place at Richard Moya Park in Austin on October 26, 2024.
Participants can expect a small, private group run with limited spots available to ensure a personalized experience. All ages and paces are welcome, with the option to run or walk. The event provides a stress-free environment, with no timing chips required. Participants can choose to have their timing recorded by coordinators using bib numbers distributed on race day.
Registered participants will receive a Swag Bag including a running t-shirt, finisher's towel or giveaway, finisher's medal, and training pack. Optional upgrades include technical running shirts and access to the RUNNA Coaching Program. Packet pickup is hassle-free, with swag items shipped directly to participants' addresses.

Join celebrated designer, writer, activist and educator Cheryl D. Holmes-Miller as she discusses her upcoming book HERE: Where the Black Designers Are. Cheryl D. Holmes-Miller is one of the design field’s most respected figures. She is legendary for her decades of scholarship and activism and is known as a touchstone and conscience for the design profession. This long-awaited book documents the history of the question she has been asking for decades: Where are the Black designers? Presentation followed by a book signing and reception. Complimentary copies of HERE will be available to UT Design students on a first come first served basis. About Cheryl D Miller: Graphic designer, educator and author Cheryl D. Miller aims to end the marginalization of BIPOC designers through her civil rights activism, industry exposé trade writing, rigorous research and archival vision. A nationally recognized advocate for equity and inclusion in graphic design and founder of the NYC social impact design firm Cheryl D. Miller Design, Inc. She currently serves as Professor of DEI in communication design at Art Center College of Design and an adjunct professor at Howard University and University of Connecticut. In 2021 she was an AIGA Medalist “Expanding Access,” a Cooper Hewitt “Design Visionary” awardee and an Honorary IBM Design Scholar, “Eminent Luminary.” She is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Vermont College of Fine Arts and the President’s Global Advisory Board of Maryland Institute College of Art. Miller completed Freshman Foundation studies at The Rhode Island School of Design. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Maryland Institute College of Art, an MS in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, an MDiv from Union Theological Seminary and an honorary degree in Humane Letters from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Doctor of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art, the Rhode Island School of Design and The Pratt Institute. Her essays appear in PRINT and Communication Arts, and her D&I-related professional research is archived in the Cheryl D. Miller Collection at Stanford University and Herb Lubalin Study Center, Cooper Union.
