A graduate of Seneca Polytechnic with an honours diploma in Illustration, she also has a background in Interior Design and Layout for Animation. Patricia is highly knowledgeable in perspective drawing, character design and anatomy, composition, and digital art, making her a versatile instructor for all skill levels. Currently a Freelance Book Illustrator for FriesenPress Inc., her art draws inspiration from people of color, culture, history, animals, and the environment. Patricia focuses on developing the technical skills of her students, especially beginners, ensuring they master foundational techniques that help them bring their imaginative ideas to life. Her hands-on approach empowers students to explore their creativity while building confidence in their artistic abilities. MATERIALS Holbein Artist Gouache: Holbein Artist Gouache offers 89 vibrant opaque colors in 15ml tubes. It is finely ground for smooth application and is free of whitening agents, ensuring consistent, reliable results without fading or muddiness. Known for its high pigmentation, it delivers solid opacity and stays true to color from wet to dry. Holbein Acrylic Gouache, available in 107 colors, mimics traditional gouache but dries to a velvet matte finish, is water-resistant once dry, and offers a durable surface ideal for mixed media. *MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED BY INSTRUCTOR
