Nuremberg's temperature is quite cold during the Christmas season, but stepping into the Old Town warms you up with its festive atmosphere! This trip mainly focuses on the fairytale charm of Nuremberg's Old Town and the highlights of its Christmas markets. I highly recommend the Scandic Nürnberg Central Hotel, which I personally stayed at; its convenient location and comfortable environment make it perfect for resting after a tiring day at the markets. As for food, gingerbread men and grilled salmon buns are absolute must-try; I'll share details later! A bite of delicious food and a glimpse of the night view—you can feel the happiness of winter as you stroll through!

The heart of the Christmas market, the square features a large Christmas tree and musical performances. Various stalls offer a range of traditional German snacks and adorable handicrafts. The market is bustling with people at night, offering a fantastic atmosphere for food, drinks, and entertainment. We highly recommend experiencing the authentic Christmas spirit right near the square.
Food Recommendations: Gingerbread men and German sausage hot dogs are absolute must-try foods in Nuremberg! The gingerbread men are sweet and heartwarming, making them a wonderful souvenir to take home. Authentic German sausage hot dogs are freshly baked at the stalls and are incredibly juicy with their bread. The hash browns are savory, soft, and chewy – perfect for a cold day. Tips
1. The market is busiest in the evening. To avoid the rush, head there when it opens at 10 am. You'll have plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos of the magnificent architecture and panoramic views of the market.
2. Nuremberg winters are cold, so dress warmly with gloves and a scarf.
3. Cash is the primary form of payment at the market, so bring plenty of small change for paying at food stalls.
4. Some food stalls don't have seating, so bring a clean towel as a placemat. Eating by the square can also create a great atmosphere.
Transportation Guide
It's recommended to stay in the city center for easy walking. Take the metro directly to Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof, then walk 10-15 minutes to the Old Town and the market.
