Join the 15th Annual Lansdowne on the Potomac 5K Turkey Trot and Fun Run on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023. This exciting event is a great opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together for a fun and healthy activity while supporting local non-profit organizations. The funds raised from this event will go towards two impactful non-profits, A Place to Be and HopeCam, who play vital roles in uplifting and assisting the community. The races will start and finish in front of the Potomac Club at Lansdowne on the Potomac, located at 43459 Riverpoint Drive, Lansdowne, VA 20176. The 5K race will begin at 8 am, followed by the 1K Fun Run at 9 am. Registration fees are $20 for the 5K and $10 for the 1K. The first 500 registrations will receive a premium, long-sleeved race T-shirt, a chip-timed bib (exclusive to 5K entrants), and a race participation medal for those in the 1K category. Registration closes on Sunday, November 17, 2023. Please plan to pick up your race packets in advance to ensure enough time for all participants to make it to the start on time on Thanksgiving morning. The top three male and female finishers will receive visa gift cards as awards. Come and be a part of this meaningful event, supporting A Place to Be and HopeCam as they make a difference in the lives of those they serve. Parking is available throughout the Lansdowne on the Potomac neighborhood, as well as at the Potomac Club and the outdoor swimming pool parking lot on Coton Farm Court. Road closures will be in effect along the race route, so please plan accordingly.
