Latest Events in Ota(July Updated)

A festival of lights takes place every year from mid-November to mid-January. At dusk, the Northern Sports Park in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, serves as the main venue for 1.5 million LED lights to flash, giving the surrounding environment a dreamy glow. Every year you see illuminated shapes like churches, castles and Christmas trees. You'll also see them when passing between the Kiryu Interchange and Ota Yabuzuka Interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway, but they're really worth seeing in person from one of the tops of the castle. The exhibit looks different from every angle, so it would be fun to visit again and again. Various events are held during the Festival of Lights.
