Join Natasha Duddy at the Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart on Saturday, 3 February 2024, from 10am to 1pm for an exciting workshop called "Design and Make a Fused Glass Wall Clock". This hands-on experience will teach you the art of glass fusing and provide you with the skills to create a stunning piece of artwork that will captivate anyone who sees it.
During the workshop, you will learn the techniques of glass cutting and grinding, as well as how to choose the perfect colors to create opaque or transparent frits and stringers. Natasha will guide you through the process of fusing the glass and then drill holes for the hand mechanisms and secure the back fitting. No prior experience is required, making this workshop suitable for beginners.
The cost of the workshop is £55 for full price tickets, or £50 for concessions, which includes all the necessary materials. Please note that closed toe footwear must be worn for safety reasons.

Sculpt Your Pet (8-12 years) is an exciting workshop led by Fiona Shannon at the Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart. This one-day event will take place on Saturday, February 10th, from 11am to 1pm. The session costs £15 per participant, which includes all the necessary materials.
Renowned ceramicist Fiona Shannon will guide young artists in designing and sculpting their very own pet, whether it be a dog or a cat. Participants are kindly requested to bring a picture of their pet, as well as an apron and clothing that can get dirty. It is also advisable to trim nails short for this class. Don't forget to bring a box to safely transport your pet sculpture home.
Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all children and young people is our top priority. Therefore, we kindly ask that consent forms for each participant under the age of 18 be completed and returned no later than 24 hours before the workshop begins. Please note that participation is conditional upon the completion of these consent forms.
