Yosi is a seasoned performer, and he is delighted to be playing J S Bach's Goldberg Variations at Cafe Yukari , following a concert he gave at St Michael's Church, Lewes in early April this year as part of the monthly classical music programme as well as playing at St Anne's Church, Lewes in the summer. He has played at Cafe Yukari countless times, and his repertoire has included the last three Beethoven Sonatas, a concert of music from the Impressionist period including Debussy and Ravel. He made his Lewes debut in early February this year with a concert at Trinity St John sub Castro Church. Last year, he played at Brighton Unitarian Church as part of the Brighton Fringe, as well as a benefit concert for Ukrainian refugees, playing a programme of Ukrainian and Russian composers. He has given concerts at Burgh House, Lauderdale House and Leighton House in London, and performed recitals in City of London churches, such as St Mary Le-Bow, St Mary At-Hill and St Martin within Ludgate. He has also performed Beethoven Concerto no. 3 and Mozart Concerto no. 21 in D minor with the London Charity Orchestra. Yosi has played music to accompany silent cinema at Cafe Yukari, Ealing Classic Cinema, the OSO Arts in Barnes and other educational establishments. He accompanied music to The Temptress, Metropolis and Modern Times in the autumn last year at the All Saints Centre in Lewes as too. He also came back to play Nosferatu at the Brighton Unitarian Church for Halloween. He will be back at the Brighton Unitarian Church on Halloween with music to accompany the silent horror film, the Cabinet of Dr Caligari. With his band Momentum, he plays saxophone/flute and clarinet regularly at the Bull's Head in Barnes and the Pheasantry Pizza Express in Chelsea and Holborn. They performed at the London Jazz Festival last November at George IV in Chiswick, London to critical acclaim. They also made their debut this summer at the Con Club in Lewes this June. About the Museum This is a gem of a museum. The musical museum tells the fascinating story of how people have captured and listened to music over the last four centuries. From tiny music boxes to an impressive and comprehensive array of instruments, inventions, including reproducing pianos, orchestrions, and self-playing violins. We will be having a 1h 30 min guided tour and demonstrations of the instruments including delicate musical boxes, reproducing pianos, organs, self-playing violins and the Mighty Wurlitzer! We will also hear fascinating stories, that will really bring to life of how people listened to music before the days of modern technology. About the Visit A guided tour will also be given by the museum which will last for approx. 1 hour 30 mins. After the tour, you will be free to look around the rest of the museum. Cost The museum has a £12 fee for entry (also includes the guided tour). This can be paid on the day. Getting to the Museum by Train Kew Bridge Station is located in Zone 3 and you can get there from Waterloo Station, trains leaving at: 12:50pm, The journey takes 26 minutes. Afterwards After we will head to the museum café for a little break and to regroup. We will then head to a restaurant for food. We'll be meeting outside Kew Bridge Station , London, UK. Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to explore with us as we head along the river and into the pictoresque area of Barnes. Whether you're a seasoned walker or just starting out, this event is perfect for everyone, we do walk at a medium pace covering around 5km a hour. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, exercise, make friends, and enjoy the great outdoors and then spend time together in the pub afterwards grabbing a drink and / or a bite to eat.
