Headliner: Chris Gethard! Chris Gethard is a comedian, actor and author. He's the host of the “Beautiful/ Anonymous” podcast, the former host of “The Chris Gethard Show”, and wrote and starred in the HBO special “Career Suicide”. He also hosts the podcast “New Jersey Is The World”, a celebration of his home state. In 2023, Chris released his hour, “Chris Gethard: Father and the Sun”, on Audible. In 2021, Comedy Dynamics released Chris' comedy special, “Chris Gethard: Half My Life”, which is a hybrid tour documentary and stand-up special shot in a variety of DIY spaces and independent venues all over the country in 2019. Chris has been seen on television shows such as “Space Force”, “The Office”, “Broad City”, “Parks and Recreation”, and “Inside Amy Schumer”. He’s also been seen in films such as “The Other Guys”, “The Heat”, “Ghostbusters”, “Anchorman 2”, “Out of Office”, and was one of the stars of Mike Birbiglia’s “Don’t Think Twice”. Chris can also be seen in the HBO Max documentary “Class Action Park”. Chris is also the author of the books “Weird NY”, “A Bad Idea I’m About to Do”, “Lose Well”, “Dad on Pills”, “The Lonely Dad Conversations”, and “Dad at Peace”. After another extremely successful House Tour last year with over 600 attendees, it is with great pleasure that we announce the Flemington Historic Preservation Commission is hosting another “House Tours of Historic Flemington” to highlight our Flemington community. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11AM to 5PM. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event. The private homes and public buildings selected for our tour will provide visitors a view into the eclectic architecture of our charming borough, including the largest representation of Victorian architecture outside of Cape May as well as Early 20th Century and stunning examples of Greek Revival, Gothic, Colonial and 2nd Empire, for which Flemington is well known. Over 65% of Flemington’s buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This year’s tour currently includes plans for five new homes not included on the tours in the past two years. In addition, we have return favorites including the historic Hunterdon County Courthouse where the Lindbergh “Trial of the Century” took place in 1935 along with the historic jail and cellblock where Bruno Hauptmann was detained during the trial. You can tour the Courthouse and jail at your leisure or participate in guided Courthouse and jail tours which will be at 11AM, Noon, 2PM and 3PM. Engage our docents at each property to learn about how these iconic sites have contributed to the historic fabric of the borough and the surrounding County of Hunterdon. Visit our downtown’s array of boutiques and eateries as well as our brewery and distillery to make your stay with us more memorable. Free parking can be found in lots throughout the borough as well as along the streets of any of our neighborhoods. We will also have two free looping trolleys passing each of our showcased properties. As a vibrant community in the midst of exciting changes, we ask that you excuse any issues you may encounter with the revitalization of our Main Street. Several upcoming projects promise to bring even greater opportunities for dining, entertainment and recreation!
