Featured Events in Okayama in September, 2024 (July Updated)

The Silk Road connects the East and the West. It has been an important channel for communication and trade since ancient times, and a place of cultural integration where many ethnic groups have risen and fallen. This exhibition will introduce cultural relics collected by museums and research institutions in Luoyang, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Dunhuang, and Xinjiang. This is the first large-scale exhibition held abroad after the successful application for World Heritage status, with a total of 44 "first-class cultural relics", which are China's most precious treasures. We will display a group of aromatic treasures from the West and the North, Tang Dynasty masterpieces with deep roots in Japan, and exquisite Buddhist art.
