Featured Events in Osaka in June, 2024 (May Updated)

Natural history specimens stored in museum storage are fundamental materials for understanding nature. Osaka Museum of Natural History holds approximately 2 million items, of which approximately 400,000 are plant specimens. These specimens are used by various researchers every day, and after extensive examination, the results are published as papers. For many people, the use of these specimens in research is probably something far removed from their imagination. This time, we will be exhibiting plant specimens held by Osaka Museum of Natural History that have actually been used in research, along with the results of that research, in the hope that many people will become aware of the excitement of research using specimens.

Universal Studios Japan's ever popular "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™" area will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year since its grand opening on July 15, 2014. This year, we are bringing you a special year that will rewrite your magical history with a number of magical experiences befitting an anniversary year. Ten years have passed since the magical world of our dreams became a reality in Japan, and a series of magical experiences befitting the anniversary year will be launched. In the summer, "Hogwarts™ Castle Walk " will return to explore the interior of Hogwarts™ castle. In the fall, "Death Eaters™ Takeover" will bring the Death Eaters to life before your very eyes, and in the winter, "Hogwarts™ Magical Night - Winter Magic" will bring the splendor of Hogwarts™ castle to life.
