Discover the latest addition to Alnoba's art collection - an enchanting exploration of winding willow branches created by Patrick Doherty. Our dedicated volunteer guides will accompany you on your journey, sharing the captivating stories behind the featured artists and their creations. Many of these thought-provoking pieces delve into crucial themes of social justice and sustainability, urging us to strive for a better world. Important details for the guided tour: - The tour begins promptly at 10AM, so please ensure you arrive at the parking lot ahead of time. Late arrivals will not be able to join the group. - For your safety and the best experience, guests must remain with the guide throughout the tour. - Dress appropriately for outdoor exploration. In winter, wear insulated clothing, snow boots, snow pants, and consider bringing walking sticks and ice spikes. In summer, opt for comfortable attire, hiking boots, and remember to bring bug spray and sunscreen. - Prepare for a leisurely-paced walk with occasional breaks, lasting approximately 90 minutes. - Please note that Alnoba's buildings are closed during the tour, but a portable restroom is available in the parking lot. - To maintain the serene environment, no dogs or bicycles are allowed on the property. However, snowshoes are welcome when there is snow on the ground, and a limited number of pairs are available for borrowing. - Kindly be aware that due to location constraints, the guided tour does not include Andy Goldsworthy's "Boulder House". This outdoor tour covers approximately 2 miles of varied terrain, including a steep hill to access Andy Goldsworthy's Watershed Boulder. Refund and Weather Policy: Tickets for this extraordinary event are non-refundable. Rain or shine, all events at Alnoba proceed as scheduled. In the event of extreme weather conditions, you will receive an email notification regarding any cancellations. Private Tours are also available: If the scheduled events are full or if you prefer a more intimate experience, private art tours can be arranged for up to 12 people. Witness the majestic evolution of Watershed Boulder, an installation that transforms with the elements of rain, ice, and snow. Marvel at Boulder House, a remarkable structure built around a massive glacial boulder. Additionally, the recently added Five Ten will leave a lasting impact. This native stone building is constructed around a rustic and timeless car, adorned with unique features and bullet holes. The guided tour requires a moderate level of physicality, involving a roughly 2-mile walk along hilly and narrow trails with uneven grounds. It is recommended for ages 10 and up. Please gather at the Alnoba parking lot at the designated start time. Note that the tour will commence promptly, so arrive in advance to avoid missing out. Please refrain from bringing dogs, as they are not allowed on the tour. Restroom facilities are available in the parking lot for your convenience.
