Featured Events in Lincoln in August, 2024 (June Updated)

Celebrate International Dog Day on August 26th, 2024, by participating in the eighth annual Day of the Dog event in Lincoln. Choose to run, walk, or jog either 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, or 26.2 distance at your convenience throughout August or September with your furry companion. For a limited time, registration is available for $18 instead of the regular price of $20. A portion of the registration fee will be donated to Freedom Service Dogs of America, a non-profit organization that provides custom-trained dogs to individuals with disabilities. Each participant will receive a unique wooden medal, with the option to personalize it with their dog's name. Medals and bibs will be shipped out starting mid-July 2024. Virtual races allow you to complete the distance of your choice wherever you prefer, and at your own pace. By participating, you contribute to supporting various charities, with over $892,045 raised so far. Take part in this meaningful event and make a difference through your participation.
