Pace Yourself: How to use transitions to create your next scene is an immersive workshop that focuses on developing essential transition skills in improv. This skill is like a muscle that needs practice to master. Transitions have the power to elevate a scene, injecting new life and preventing the repetition that can leave shows feeling stale. If you've ever found yourself struggling to come up with fresh ideas on the spot, or feeling unsure about how to seamlessly move from one scene to the next, this workshop is designed to address those challenges and more.
Led by Vincent Massi, an esteemed improviser with a wealth of experience, this workshop offers a comprehensive compilation of tried-and-true transitions used by professional improvisers across America. The techniques taught in this workshop have been honed by some of the top teams in the country and are regularly employed in their shows. By mastering these transitions, you'll learn how to create a seamless flow in your performances, establishing a sense of connection without relying on a complex plot. Most importantly, you'll discover how to silence the noise in your mind while on the back line, effortlessly diving into whatever the show requires or what will bring the most joy.
Vincent Massi, an established improviser and instructor, has been sharing his expertise for the past seven years, both in the United States and internationally. With a background in Second City Hollywood, IO West, UCBLA, and ComedySportz Las Vegas, Vincent brings a wealth of knowledge to his classes. His teaching approach is centered around expanding students' onstage possibilities, ensuring that each participant leaves with newfound abilities and personal growth. Join this exciting workshop at Big Fork Theatre in Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006 on January 17, 2024, and witness your improv skills flourish. Tickets are available for $79.87.

70x7 Foundation Palisades Trip 1 | Palisades Tahoe
Jan 14, 2024 (UTC-8)ENDED
The Valley
The 70x7 Foundation is dedicated to providing fun and new challenges for everyone. Our belief is that every child deserves the opportunity to have fun and experience new adventures, regardless of their ability to earn or compete. That's why we organize seasonal trips to Palisades Tahoe, located in Olympic Valley, where the children can enjoy skiing or snowboarding lessons, lift tickets, and equipment rental, all at no cost to them.
Why do we choose snowboarding and skiing for these trips? These sports are progressive, meaning that the more you do them, the better you get. It's just like life - it may be tough at the beginning, with falls, pain, and cold. But once you make up your mind to conquer it, you can succeed. There's nothing quite like standing on top of a mountain, watching the sunset before taking the plunge. It teaches our children to never give up, to keep trying, and to always strive for improvement. One day, they'll be standing on top of that mountain with us.
Join us for the 70x7 Foundation Palisades Trip 1 in 2024-01-14 at Palisades Tahoe, located at 1960 Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley, CA 96146. This event is completely free of charge, providing an unforgettable experience for the kids. And remember, nothing brings out a child's sense of adventure like a snowball to the face!
