The Beatles' "Revolver" live & complete + best of Badfinger. 3:00p NEW DATE | Grammy Museum L.A. Live
Aug 2, 2025 (UTC-7)
City of Los Angeles
The Beatles' "Revolver" live and complete.
"A veritable goldmine…”—Melody Maker, July 30, 1966
"This is a brilliant album which underlines once and for all that the Beatles have definitely broken the bounds of what we used to call pop."--NME, July 29, 1966
"The best album the Beatles ever made, which means the best album by anybody" --Rolling Stone Album Guide, 2005
"They introduce whole new vistas of sound”--London Daily Telegraph, September 7, 2009
“The Greatest Album in History”--VH1, 2001
Named by just about everyone as one of the greatest-if not THE GREATEST-albums ever made, Keith Putney Productions continues its series of Beatles album shows with Revolver live and complete, plus the best of Badfinger as we celebrate Joey Molland. John Jorgenson, Jeff Alan Ross, Laurence Juber and more return to present the unforgettable album that grows in stature with every passing year.
Entertainment Weekly named in #1 in their 2013 list of “All Time Greatest Albums”, Q magazine named it number one on their list of the “50 Greatest British Albums Ever”, and Collin Larkin ranked it first in his 1994 book “All Time Top 1000 Albums”.
The breadth and depth of Revolver’s musical mix eclipses the greatest hits of any recording artists save the Beatles themselves. Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, I’m Only Sleeping, Love You To, Here, There and Everywhere, Yellow Submarine, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, And Your Bird Can Sing, For No One, Doctor Robert, I Want To Tell You, Got to Get You Into My Life, and Tomorrow Never Knows make up the complete list.

The Garden of Tomorrow Festival, Los Angeles | Philosophical Research Society
Jul 26, 2025 (UTC-7)
City of Los Angeles
THE LIBRARY OF ESOTERICA & HOUSE OF HACKNEY PRESENT:
THE GARDEN OF TOMORROW 2025
SATURDAY JULY 26 IN LOS ANGELES
We're hosting a festival of ideas alongside our community and kin - a gathering to re-enchant ourselves with the magick of Nature, to remember our rightful place within it, and to celebrate the power of connection in cultivating a flourishing future.
ABOUT THE GARDEN OF TOMORROW
The Garden of Tomorrow Festival is a collective of positive disruptors, activists, artists and organisations. We believe in the
power of creativity and collaboration to make a change
. We believe in a future where
we are a part of Nature
, not apart from it.
The Garden
is a place where we
plant and cultivate ideas
, transforming
radical vision
into
inspiring action
to urgently protect the collective garden we call home: our planet.
It is an
open-to-all programme
designed to
ignite new ways of being and doing
, rooted in
honouring all life on Earth
. This is a not-for-profit event, all profits will be donated to the Altadena Seed Library.
WHY?
In the face of the Climate & Nature crises, it is a space where
imagination meets action
, where bold ideas take root, and where
new blueprints for a regenerative future
begin to flourish, showing how we can live and work in harmony with the natural world.
More than just a gathering, it serves as a
think tank for change
. Through a
programme of talks and workshops, and activations
, it seeks to inspire people to rethink the way we live, create, and consume - shifting towards practices that are
in true service to our planet and all living beings
.
EVENTS
RADICAL RE-ENCHANTMENT
What if we reclaimed wonder as a catalyst for change?
PANEL TALK
With The Library of Esoterica editor & author, Jessica Hundley, writer & curator, Pam Grossman, Aditi Mayer
and artist Lily Kwong
The natural world is a place of magick; let’s re-enchant ourselves with the wonder all around us.
We’ll be exploring re-enchantment and reconnection with Nature as radical acts of protection - offering an alternative to the prevailing climate narrative of alarm and anxiety. We’re choosing beauty, wonder and reverence as catalysts for change.
When we shift the story from depletion to abundance and from separation to belonging, we remember that caring for the Earth isn’t just a matter of science or policy, it’s a matter of love.
By reclaiming wonder as a guiding force, we begin to see climate action not as an obligation, but as an act of devotion - something deeply joyful, rooted in connection, and alive with possibility.
WE ARE NATURE
How words change worlds: what if remembering we are Nature is the answer to our collective healing?
PANEL TALK
With Queer Brown Vegan, Isaias Hernandez, House of Hackney founder, Frieda Gormley, artist & food writer Jess Damuck and Moon Canyon’s Kristen Caissie
Language shapes how we see the world - and when we see ourselves as part of Nature, we are far more likely to protect it.
This remembering sparked the
We Are Nature
campaign - an initiative led by Lawyers for Nature and House of Hackney, calling on major English-language dictionaries to redefine the word
Nature
, which has long excluded humans. The campaign successfully persuaded the
Oxford English Dictionary
to update their definition to include humans, and is now in discussion with leading American dictionaries; with support from voices such as Robin Wall Kimmerer, Joanna Macy, Lauret Savoy, Janine Benyus, and many others.
The panel will explore why all this matters: the power of language, the societal impact of redefining
Nature
, and the practical steps we can take to bridge the perceived divide between people and planet by deepening our awareness and relationship with the living world.
PLANT MAGICK: Nature as Muse with Jessica Hundley

City of Los Angeles
This July, we’re proud to present a special summer edition of "Movie & Bites" for the whole family to enjoy! As part of our popular event series, discover the iconic flavors of summer in Japan alongside a screening of the animated film "Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko" which has been called “a magical charmer” for all ages. Expect heartwarming humor, delicious treats, and even a complimentary gift to enjoy a summery Japanese meal in your own home.
“Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko” follows Nikuko, a cheerful and optimistic single mother who works at a local grill house in a small Japanese seaside town, and her introspective daughter Kikuko, who often feels embarrassed by her mother's exuberant personality. Set against the backdrop of an idyllic seaside community, the story explores their evolving relationship as Kikuko navigates the complexities of adolescence while learning to see her mother through new eyes. With stunning visuals that showcase mouthwatering Japanese cuisine and the rhythms of coastal life, this moving tale reveals how family love transcends differences. From director Ayumu Watanabe (“Children of the Sea”) and STUDIO4°C (“Tekkonkinkreet”, “Mind Game”), this film has earned wide acclaim, including awards from the Scotland Loves Animation Festival and the Fantasia International Film Festival, as well as nominations for Best Animated Feature at the 2022 Annie Awards and Animation of the Year at the 2022 Japan Academy Film Prize.
In line with the film's themes, the event will spotlight Japan's beloved
konamon
(flour-based street food) culture—simple, nostalgic dishes that bring neighborhoods together particularly during the summer season’s outdoor fairs and festivals. Following the screening, participants will sample some iconic types of
konamon
presented in partnership with Otafuku Foods, featuring a
yakisoba
(fried noodles) cooking demonstration and tasting along with other classic dishes.
As a special treat, Otafuku Foods will provide
okonomiyaki

Synopsis | “Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko” (2021)
Directed by Ayumu Watanabe
97 minutes
Japanese film with English subtitles
From acclaimed director Ayumu Watanabe (“Children of the Sea”) and STUDIO4°C (“Tekkonkinkreet”, “Mind Game”) comes a heartwarming and moving comedy-drama with touches of magical realism. Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko is about an unconventional family and the bonds that they share in their sleepy seaside town. Brash single mother Nikuko is well-known for her bold spirit, much to the embarrassment of Kikuko, her pensive yet imaginative daughter. In contrast to her mother, Kikuko wants nothing more than to fit in as she navigates the everyday social dramas of middle school. Life in the harbor is peaceful until a shocking revelation from the past threatens to uproot the pair’s tender relationship.
The film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Annie Awards and Animation of the Year at the Japan Academy Film Prize, and it received the Hochi Film Award, the Jury Award for the Scotland Loves Animation Festival and the Axis: The Satoshi Kon Award for Excellence in Animation at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
