Sutton Life Drawing offers weekly Tuesday classes in Sutton, conveniently located near Biggleswade, Potton, and Sandy. These classes take place from 7-9pm at Sutton Village Hall. Whether you're a novice or a pro, all levels of ability are welcome. The class provides a friendly and relaxed environment for artists to explore their creativity, with tutor Matt Burden (MA Visual Communication, Royal College of Art) offering guidance tailored to each individual's goals. Please note that there is no class every second Tuesday of the month (e.g. June 14th, July 12th, August 9th, etc.). Life drawing, the practice of drawing from the living naked human form, is a valuable way for artists to exercise and develop their skills. It's like going to the gym for artists! The class begins with quick warm-up poses before moving on to longer poses, allowing participants to delve deeper into their artistic exploration. A break is included halfway through the class for sharing and assessing everyone's efforts. All you need to bring to the class is some paper and a pencil or two, although you are welcome to bring additional materials such as charcoal, crayons, or pastels. If you prefer to experiment with something different, feel free to bring it along. However, please remember to bring a dust sheet if you plan to use messy materials. Additionally, you may want to bring a board or easel to lean on, but a sturdy sketchbook will work just fine. For more information about Sutton Life Drawing, please email Matt at matthew.burden@network.rca.ac.uk. Join us for a stimulating and enjoyable artistic experience.
