Join the Wake County Historical Society for our Annual Business Meeting and Program on Monday, 2 June 2025 at 7.00 PM, in the classroom at the Mordecai Park Visitors Center, 1101 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. After a brief business meeting including a summation of our programs and activities for the 2024-2025 year, we will have a dessert reception and then our featured program. We are very excited to present a program by Ashley Talley, Enterprise Executive Producer at WRAL TV. Ashley will be presenting on the WPA Slave Narrative program from the 1930s and how she and a team of journalists at WRAL used Ancestry.com, public records, and modern people-finding tools to connect with descendants in Wake County and brought them stories and information about their ancestors, some of which had not been shared before.
