Ogni anno, a coronamento del percorso di studi, gli studenti del 2° anno del corso BTEC Extended Diploma in Music di Aloud organizzano un concerto occupandosi di tutto, dall’ideazione alla realizzazione, sia come team organizzativo sia come ensemble artistico. Gli insegnanti assegnano un tema, che poi viene sviluppato dagli studenti e che intende offrire loro modelli di riferimento e opportunità di ampliamento degli orizzonti culturali e musicali. Quest’anno il concerto sarà dedicato all’artista statunitense Carole King, cantautrice che rappresenta la qualità e la genuinità del songwriting più vero. Le due studenti che compongono la classe hanno deciso di onorare la carriera musicale di Carole King mettendone in luce, attraverso una selezione dei suoi brani iconici, il lato umano, la naturalezza nell’approcciarsi alla musica, l’umiltà verso il successo e la forte indipendenza. L’obiettivo sarà creare un ambiente 'familiare', che possa rispecchiare la semplicità e la visione della vita dell’artista che più hanno colpito le studenti e che possa far sentire il pubblico parte della sua storia.
