The 25th Biennale of Sydney 2026, one of Australia's largest and most internationally influential contemporary art exhibitions, will be held from March 14 to June 14, 2026, at various venues in Sydney, Australia, and is free to the public. The Biennale's theme is "Rememory," derived from the concept of "rememory" proposed by writer Toni Morrison. It focuses on artistic exploration at the intersection of memory and history, examining the relationship between identity, belonging, and collective memory by reviewing, reconstructing, and reaffirming historical narratives that have been erased or suppressed. Curated by internationally renowned curator Hoor Al Qasimi, the exhibition brings together works from numerous artists from around the world and Australia, presenting immersive installations, public projects, community collaborations, and educational activities. The exhibition will be held at multiple venues, including White Bay Power Station, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Chau Chak Wing Museum, the Campbelltown Arts Centre, and the Penrith Regional Gallery, and will be accompanied by city-wide public art initiatives.
