From November 8th to 15th, 2025, the City of Light, GLOW, will be transformed for its anniversary edition, "Light." For twenty years, GLOW has transformed Eindhoven and its surrounding area into a spectacular celebration of light art. This year, GLOW celebrates its anniversary theme, celebrating light as the ultimate force that connects people, bringing them together and creating shared moments. For eight days, Eindhoven will be transformed into the City of Light, where light art inspires countless encounters. GLOW is where art and culture meet. The festival creates an intimate atmosphere, welcoming people of all ages and transforming the city into a stage for storytelling. These light stories are written on building facades, squares, rooftops, and streets, and are presented through recognizable and impressive light mapping and interactive light art installations. During the "Light" exhibition, memories resurfaced, and highlights from past editions were recreated through a fusion of image and sound. This anniversary celebration celebrated two decades of innovation and development, showcasing iconic works and brand-new creations. GLOW 2025 offered a platform for all those eager to participate, including students, national and international light artists, residents of the city center and surrounding areas, and elementary school students, to be a part of the story being written.

On December 2nd, from 12:00 to 17:00, the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven will host the cosmic radio: sonic installation by the Shock Forest Group. This multidisciplinary team is dedicated to exploring the past, present, and future of radio through collective listening, cosmic sound, and the potential for revolutionary impact. As part of their ongoing research, the group will be stationed at the Van Abbemuseum from November 13th to December 3rd, studying the medium and building multiple antennas within the museum on December 2nd. These antennas will create a sonic map of electromagnetic waves with extremely low frequencies that can penetrate even the thickest layers, such as concrete buildings. By experiencing this sonic installation, visitors will hear new sounds that bridge the gap between the museum and distant frequencies produced thousands of kilometers away. The Shock Forest Group consists of seven active members with backgrounds in music, data research, ecology, design, and communication. Their names are Katya Abazajian, Sheryn Akiki, Axel Coumans, Susanna Gonzo, Nicolás Jaar, Daria Kiseleva, and Jelger Kroese.
