Masterclass Tekenen door Robbie Cornelissen 📍 Kleine Geertekerkhof 1, Utrecht 🗓 30 en 31 augustus 2025 🕘 Van 09.00 tot 17.00 uur In de zuidelijke oude binnenstad van Utrecht tussen de Singel en de Oude Gracht ligt een verborgen stadsjuweel het (oude) Palladio complex. Als je je heel klein maakt kruip je door de garagedeur naar binnen en begint de reis in Wonderland die je via een lange gang brengt naar de voormalige rooms-katholieke Fröbelschool Paus Adriaan in een omsloten binnentuin. Je bevindt je in een andere werkelijkheid in de monumentale koepelzaal die de basis vormt voor deze masterclass. De plek zelf vormt het uitgangspunt, de binnenwereld waar we ons hier bevinden zullen we verbinden met onze eigen bron en het tekenen zal de vertaalslag vormen om het naar buiten toe vorm te geven. In de loop van twee dagen tekenen zullen we van mikrokosmos naar makrokosmos verschuiven, van tekenen naar de waarneming naar verbeelding, waarbij we van patronen en structuren in natuur en architectuur ons richten op grotere verbanden. Afwisselend zullen we binnen en buiten tekenen, en ons laten inspireren door de overal aanwezige elementen zowel in de binnentuin als buiten op het Klein Geertekerkhof en langs de Singel. Tekenen Het tekenen staat centraal in deze workshop, we zullen dus onderweg via diverse oefeningen voortdurend terugkoppelen, hoe je het tekenen het beste kan inzetten, zowel conceptueel als technisch zal dat aandacht krijgen. Ik heb zelf ooit voor het tekenen gekozen, of beter dat ging stapje voor stapje tot ik er niet meer omheen kon, de houding van de tekenaar paste me perfect, en die van de schilder was altijd moeizaam geweest. De belangrijkste wijziging was dat ik in een nauwer contact met mezelf het werk maakte, waardoor ik beter luisterde en meer volgde, hierdoor ontstond er al direct een eigen schriftuur en vorm, het werk werd persoonlijker, intiemer, gedetailleerder en meer eigen, ik had zogezegd met het tekenen mijn bron ontdekt van waaruit mijn werken ontstaan. Ik denk dat ieder mens op zijn eigen niveau het tekenen kan inzetten tot het ontwikkelen van zijn of haar verhaal, dat uitgangspunt is voor mij het belangrijkste, ook in deze workshop. Dus niet hoe mooi of technisch perfect het tekenen zich toont, maar hoe het verbond van de persoon met het maken tot iets eigens en authentieks kan uitgroeien. Tekenen is heel direct sluit zowel aan op de persoonlijke eigen wereld als op de actuele tendensen, tekenen verbindt zo heel vanzelfsprekend de binnen- en de buitenwereld. Tekenen geeft de kunstenaars vrijheid, het is de experimentele proeftuin par excellence. Het tekenen heeft daarnaast bij uitstek de mogelijkheid om zich te transformeren, of daar een rol bij te spelen. Wat begint bij de directe vertaling van een gedachteproces, van gedachte naar tekening naar vorm. Het tekenen kan zo essentieel zijn in allerlei fases en stappen binnen creatieve processen, als tussenstap van idee naar realisatie. Is the masterclass for all ages? Yes! When registering you tell us how old you are and what your skating level is. We take this information into account when we create the groups. We always do our best that our international coaches are assisted by one of our Dutch coaches to make sure every participant can understand everything. So language is not an issue! All our Dutch workshop leaders also speak English. 6. Wat als ik niet meer aanwezig kan zijn?Je kan tot 30 dagen van te voren ‘kosteloos’ afmelden. In de jaren 90 speelde Helmert Woudenberg drie solo's over het leven van de Tibetaanse monnik Milarepa. Deze monnik leefde in de 11e eeuw, schreef meer dan 3000 verzen en wordt nog altijd vereerd. De vernederingen uit zijn jeugd drijven hem tot wraak. Een verschrikkelijke wraak met onschuldige slachtoffers. Maar de wraak brengt geen verlichting; integendeel. Maar als wraak het antwoord niet is, wat dan wel? Milarepa gaat op zoek om de kwade krachten die in hem wonen, te keren. Op zoek naar verlossing en verlichting. Zijn zoektocht van wraak naar verlichting vormde de basis voor de solo's van Helmert. Helmert Woudenberg stelde verhalenverteller Eric Borrias voor om met de teksten van die solo's aan de gang te gaan. Borrias bewerkte de teksten tot éen voorstelling, waarin we MIlarepa volgen van zijn jeugd tot en met zijn sterven en reïncarnatie. Helmert Woudenberg heeft deze voorstelling helaas niet meer kunnen zien; hij overleed onverwacht op 23 november 2023. Uitgerekend de verjaardag van Borrias. Zijn Milarepa is een eerbetoon aan een groot theatermaker. Reacties Mijn god. Wat heb je deze queeste van Donker naar Licht indrukwekkend verwoord. Ik heb de voorstellingen van Helmert gezien en de magie was dat zijn spel van Aarde, Water, Lucht en Vuur door Eric heen schemerde. Prachtig, prachtig, prachtig.
