CAN -TORONTO - SHOOTING SMALL GROUP SESSION
Bring your notebooks for the classroom sessions that will start each day!
At this pop-up small group session, athletes will experience a comprehensive and intensive session, where they'll have an opportunity to dive deep into shooting science both in the classroom and on court.
It's hard to improve at anything that we don't understand, so the goal of this clinic is to provide athletes with a holistic understanding of the ideal movements that the best shooters in the world use, and the reasons why they work.
-
THIS IS *NOT* A REGULAR "CAMP" EXPERIENCE.
My reputation depends on you becoming a better shooter. And I take that personally.
ALL ATHLETES
MUST
download the
Shooters Shoot Training App
to attend camp. (This is no extra cost!)
-Apple Download
-Google Play Download
In your confirmation email, you’ll receive a private link to join the
In-Person Immersive Experience
. Athletes get FREE access for 21 days, and while we encourage you to start exploring it about 14 days before camp, it’s totally okay if you’re not in right away — you’ll still get plenty out of it once you do.
-A 10-workout pre-session plan
-A 5-workout post-session plan
These workouts are specifically tailored to complement the in-person curriculum that your athletes will experience at camp.
Even if you sign up less than 10 days before camp, downloading and getting access to this plan is VITAL. You can always complete the workouts after our time together!

Safe Dating:
It is crucial to be cautious when setting up in-person dates or meetings.
1. Don't set up dates too quickly
It's normal to chat and have some back and forth before deciding if a date is in the cards. If the person wants to meet you immediately that is a RED FLAG.
2. Meet up in a public place the first time
It's a wise decision to choose a busy public location for your first date. Meet at a pub, coffee shop, restaurant, and/or busy park. This allows a secure setting for both of you.
3. Always arrange your own transportation for the initial date
Always meet your date in a public place. Never, ever let them pick you up or drop you off on your first few dates. Even if they offer to pick you up or drop you off, say "no thanks" until you trust them! Remember the old saying stranger DANGER.
4. Tell someone you trust that you have a date
Never go on a date/meet-up without telling someone. This should always be your no. 1 safety rule when meeting people for the first time. Let a friend or family member know that they should expect to hear from you at a certain time. You can also let them know where you're going on the date. It’s also a smart idea to have a ‘safe word’ or ‘safe phrase’, to use, just in case you need to make a quick exit.
5. Think before exchanging numbers
Do not forget that you are under no need to share phone numbers if you feel uncomfortable. It’s OK to schedule dates and converse only through a safe app until you feel ready to give out your phone number. Always take your time when to disclose contact information since your privacy is crucial.
6. ALWAYS Trust your instincts
If you sense any discomfort or uneasy vibes while conversing, planning a date in person, don't hesitate to leave immediately and exit the situation. Your well-being always comes first, and it's perfectly fine to step away if something doesn't feel right. Let your friend or family member know.

Community Living Oakville's Food Truck Friday | 210 Lakeshore Rd E
May 30, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Oakville
Community Living Oakville (CLO) is a non-profit charitable organization that has held a longstanding reputation within Oakville and the Halton region for 70 years. Our agency supports people with developmental disabilities to develop skills towards independence and participate in meaningful opportunities; striving for community inclusion.
Our organization provides support to over 300 people in supported living, community participation supports and employment services as well as 300 staff and volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to ensuring that everyone can enjoy their right to lead active and productive lives.
CLO strongly believes in the importance of advocacy for those that are vulnerable or underrepresented and we empower the people we support to advocate for their rights of equality and inclusion within our local community. While our organization is ministry funded, the support received only covers basic everyday essentials – like food, shelter, utilities, transportation and staff. And like most government funded service providers; we often need to do more with less.
For the past 2 years, Community Living Oakville held our Annual Food Truck Friday event in partnership with Sheridan College as a way to bring people we support together, and raise awareness to our organizations.
After a successful event, we are incredibly excited to hold our event this May in the heart of Oakville Towne Square where we can strengthen our partnerships with community facilities and local businesses. In effort to bring awareness and education to the community about people with developmental disabilities and their involvement within Oakville, we invite you to join us during the month of May - Community Living Month - to celebrate diversity and inclusion together. By building community partnerships, we have witnessed increased community awareness and inclusion – contributing to an inclusive community for all.
We invite you to participate as a sponsor of our 2025 Food Truck Friday event taking place on May 30th at Oakville Towne Square.
Your sponsorship will allow us to make this event an open opportunity for all attendees to get to know our agency, programs and services, meet people supported by Community Living Oakville, staff and families. In addition, sponsorships make it possible for people we support to attend and enjoy the event at no extra cost.
People with developmental disabilities are often living on low-income, relying on government assistance programs such as ODSP for all living expenses (including housing, groceries, etc.). With the help of your sponsorship to make this event possible, we can reduce social isolation for the people we support and foster meaningful interactions with others, creating a greater sense of awareness and community in Oakville for CLO.
All sponsorships include recognition on website, social media, email communications and post-event Impact Report emailed to full agency distribution list.
Please contact, Andrea Lee at andrea.lee@oakcl.org for more information.
