Welcome to Summer Fest '24, a Women & Non-Binary 5-a-side Recreational Football Festival in Barnsley. With the sun shining (hopefully), this event is the perfect way to round off the season of brilliant and beautiful rec football. The festival aims to recognize, celebrate, and promote the love for football. It offers a variety of activities, including a 5-a-side football festival, opportunities to socialize, and the chance to play as a team or as an individual. Additionally, we are here to support you and your group in playing football, offering guidance and assistance. We believe in fostering a spirit of camaraderie, so there will be prizes for the most spirited team, ensuring the focus is not solely on competition. This festival is open to everyone, regardless of ability level. We especially encourage women who have never played football before, those considering a return to the game, those not registered with an 11-a-side league team, and members of existing women's recreational groups to attend. The festival will be held on June 15, 2024, at the 5ives sports club in Barnsley. Squads of up to 8 players are allowed, with rolling substitutions permitted. The entry fee for each team is only £35.
