Reiki, a form of energy healing, recognises the human body as a complete energy system that is connected to universal life force energy. Imbalances within this system can cause illnesses and disharmony. By acting as a channel between the patient and the universal source of energy, a Reiki practitioner can stimulate the body's natural healing capacity. The term "Reiki" itself derives from the Japanese words "rei" and "ki," which respectively mean "universal" and "vital life force energy." What are the different levels of Reiki Training? There are four levels of Reiki training: Level 1 - Reiki foundations course-allows you to practice on self, friends and family. Level 2 - Practitioner course -enables you to practice professionally. Level 3 - Master Practitioner course deepening your knowledge, and practice. Level 4 - Teacher. What will the Level One training course cover? This first level is an immersive two day experience, which lays the foundation for this ancient healing practice. Reiki Level One is for your personal development and healing, and will also equip you with the knowledge and practice to share with friends and family. The course will give an introduction to the philosophy, history, and theory of Reiki, and includes many practical exercises to boost the confidence of the students to use Reiki. we will cover the following: Healing and the energy system An introduction to the Aura and the Chakras Reiki history & philosophy Reiki and spirituality The Reiki Principles Reiki and research Simple steps for meditation and working with the breathe 4 attunements to start the flow of Reiki energy How to “tune-in” to Reiki How to prepare your self and the space for Reiki The 12 hand positions for a Reiki treatment How to conduct a Reiki self treatment How to give a Reiki treatment to family & friends Energy cleansing techniques Using Reiki at work Treating pets and animals Treating plants and objects Sending Reiki to situations The 21-day clearing process Using Reiki in daily life Course Cost: £ 160 (non-refundable deposit of £ 50 is required at the time of booking, and the balance of £110 is due two weeks before the course). The price includes: Two days of training and practice A course manual Refreshments on both days Certificate About your Teacher Helen first began working with Reiki in 1999, when she was attuned by a Reiki Master to Level 1. In 2003 she was attuned to Reiki Level 2, and in October 2020 she became a Reiki Master with the Academy of Energy Healing. She went on to receive further Master trainings in February 2023, and completed her Reiki Teacher Training in September 2023 with the Reiki Science Academy. Using Reiki in her personal and professional life has been a profound experience, always reminding her to work in alignment with the Spirit of life, and continuing to remove any blocks to love that she may be holding in her being, to be as pure a conduit for healing energy, life force and divine love as possible. As well as offering Reiki treatments, Helen also practices as a Creative Psychotherapist specialising in Self-compassion & Forgiveness. As an introduction to drawing, this workshop, "Drawing for Beginners," is a relaxed exploration of mark marking using natural forms for inspiration. Sharon's workshops are designed to help you gain confidence to draw from observation. As well as exploring mark making on paper, you will also use mono printing to develop drawing skills using a wide variety of marks. She also challenges her students to explore composition using their drawings. All materials are provided and places are limited to 8 as she likes to spend plenty of time with everyone during her workshops. Sharon is an experienced art teacher who focuses on developing student's confidence to explore their creativity using many different techniques. Biography Sharon Akers Having taught Art and Design in schools and colleges for over 30 years, I am now working independently offering a wide range of art workshops. My classes (AkersArtClasses) are always geared towards exploration for all abilities. They are relaxed and informal with the aim that each student takes away at least one piece of artwork. Although sculpture and mixed media is my preferred medium for my own work, having taught art for so long, I can cater for a wide variety of techniques and materials. I often use the beautiful surrounding Chiltern Downs for my inspiration and enjoy walking, looking, photographing and collecting before creating artwork in the studio.
