You’re invited to a Farm Tour and Potluck at Thank You Farm in Langley, BC! If you’re curious what land matching is all about – or just want to check out what your local farmers are up to – join us for the event. Come out to connect with other farmers and food lovers, share a delicious potluck meal and learn about free-range egg production. We'll enjoy a farm tour with leasing farmer Chungyun Kim, who is the owner and operator of Thank You Farm. Prior to farming full-time, Chungyun was a small business owner. He studied forestry in South Korea and after moving to Canada, kept chickens, ducks and goats as a hobby. In 2024, he decided to turn his interest in agriculture into a full-time career and reached out to the B.C. Land Matching Program (BCLMP). Chungyun was matched to 3.5 acres of land through the BCLMP, where he now runs Thank You Farm, producing free-range eggs for his local community. During the farm tour, we will hear from Chungyun about his first year operating the farm and his plans for the future. In addition to his livestock (which include goats and 200 chickens), he is currently collaborating with the landholder to add vegetables to his operation. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions about land sharing, livestock farming and farm startup. The tour will wrap up with a potluck meal, with plenty of time to socialize. Ve-Jane, the Metro Vancouver-Fraser Valley Land Matcher, will also be there to discuss how she can help you find a farmer for your land or farmland where you can build your dream farm business. Both farmers seeking land and farmland holders are encouraged to attend – as well as anyone who loves food, farming and getting out onto the land. We can't wait to see you there! DATE: June 21, 2025 • 3pm - 6pm LOCATION: Coast Salish Territory. 21231 36 Avenue, Langley, BC . DIRECTIONS/PARKING: The farm is located towards the east end of 36 Ave in Langley, off of 208 St. There are a couple parking spots on the property, or you can park along 36 Ave when you arrive. Alternative
Join Pat Barrett this Spring on the Beautiful Life Tour, taking his new album “Shelter” for several dates around Canada . The Atlanta-based artist expresses overflowing gratitude for the opportunity to invite people into this new worshipful journey. The Beautiful Life Tour finds inspiration in Ecclesiastes, a book exploring the wide spectrum of life in its mundanity, pain, redemption, and holy beauty. It will be a space for honesty, communion, and encouragement as people hold the tension of life before God in worship. With a full band, Pat Barrett will blend some classics (“Build My Life,” “Good Good Father,” “The Way”) with brand-new songs (“Shelter,” “Praise Him,” “Seen Known Loved”). Also joining Pat will be Aodhán King, founding member of Hillsong Young & Free and writer of some beloved worship anthems over the years such as “Touch of Heaven”, “Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)”, “Sinking Deep” and many more. Each night promises to be influenced by the people who are there as he shares, “I want to go in with the plan and also have faith to see where it goes.” The Beautiful Life Tour will be a space for celebration and communion; we can’t wait to see you!
