Join trans comic creators Fox Fisher and Lewis Hancox for a special FREE comic making workshop where you will create a 4 panel comic! Everyone attending will get a FREE goodie bag, including stickers by Lew and My Genderation and a copy of Fox's comic book Never Too Late. This is thanks to generous support by the Foundation by Facial Team. This is a safer space for people to chat about all things comics, LGBTQIA+ issues and life in general. This workshop is for young people aged 14-25. The workshop will take place at the Comics Youth office in the Make Hamilton 2.0 building, located at 69-71 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6LQ. The office is a short walk away from Hamilton Square train station and Birkenhead bus station. There are pay and display car parks across the road and there is on-street parking nearby. Registration is by donation with proceeds benefitting Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s AgeWise Program. Participants will meet at Walkerville Brewery's Bierhall for 2:30pm for registration and the run/walk to begin shortly thereafter. You can choose your own adventure, whether it’s walking or running a refreshing 1km, a brisk 3k or a moderate 5km! Once you're finished, meet us back at the brewery and “prost!” with a stein of your favourite beer in celebration! Oktoberfest menu items will be available for purchase.
