MTA is delighted to invite tennis enthusiasts to join them for an exciting day of round-robin doubles tennis at the Montclair tennis courts in Oakland. This fun and casual event is open to everyone, with no membership required. Participants can expect an inclusive and friendly atmosphere, as players of all ages, genders, and skill levels are encouraged to participate, including beginners who will receive guidance on scoring and court placement. The event will feature short no-ad rounds, allowing players to mix it up and compete with different opponents. With the format of doubles tennis and a different partner for each round, participants can look forward to a dynamic and engaging experience. Depending on the number of participants, rounds will consist of approximately 8 games each, ensuring ample playing time for all. While the focus will be on friendly competition, the primary goal is to have fun and enjoy the sport. To further enhance the event, MTA has organized a potluck, where participants are encouraged to bring something to share. Each person should also bring their own beverage. Please note that full vaccination is required as part of the COVID protocols.
