Just for adults, join us for an early autumn stroll around the woodlands surrounding our Outdoor Education Centre at Gorcott Hill. You will be collecting berries from the established hedgerows before heading back to use your foraging finds to inspire your choice of drink, using the recipe card suggestions as a guide. Outdoor Learning Officer Ellie will provide you will all you need to create something that will tickle your taste buds - however if you like the idea of a stronger option like sloe gin, rosehip vodka, blackberry whiskey or hawthorn gin then please do bring 250-350ml of your spirit of choice. This will be a social morning, a chance to enjoy the changing season, a gentle 2 to 3 mile walk, a hands on workshop , an opportunity to meet new friends - and have some berry bootleg to take home, ready to enjoy in time for Christmas. Tickets are priced at £35 which include all the materials needed for the drink making workshop, excluding any spirit alcohol you choose to bring. This self-supported gravel ride offers two route options - 35km (21 miles) or 50km (31 miles) - both starting and finishing at The Cycle Studio. It's essential to have your bike adequately prepared for the diverse terrain. Safety is paramount, so all riders must have a fully charged GPS unit or phone, along with lights for visibility and helmets for protection. OUT OF THE ‘DITCH - A self supported gravel ride. Join us on Saturday 12th October for a mixed terrain, gravel adventure around the rolling countryside. 📍 The Cycle Studio Redditch 🕙 Come sign in, talk bikes and drink coffee from 9.00am. Wheels get rolling once the rider briefing has finished. Then you follow the 30mile (48KM) GPX route that we have test ridden! The route will include a full mix of terrain from trusty tarmac to choppy bridleways so please make sure your bikes are set up accordingly. This is a completely self supported ride (not a race) and we want everyone to enjoy the day to its fullest, so please bring everything you would usually take on a solo ride in case you get caught out. A fully charged GPS unit or Phone is needed to follow the route. Lights may be required for those looking at running a party pace and helmets are a must for every rider. Please prep for all weathers, it will be October and the weather can be unpredictable. The route will start and finish at The Cycle Studio where there will be post-ride drink included in the ride price. The ride is £8. Once signed in you get rider discounts in store. Wheels rolling at 7.45am, Starting from the Cycle Studio Redditch. Aiming to do around 20-30KM (upto 2 hours riding) before heading back to the store. Utilizing some of the local cycle ways, bridle ways, gravel tracks and quiet(ish) roads. This is a new thing for us on a Saturday morning. This will be a no drop ride. If you have any questions about the ride get in touch. Tickets are limited to try to keep the numbers managable on the roads. The ride is self supported. So please bring spares, lights and helmets are mandatory. We will be riding on some smoothish rolling roads to very loose gravel and everything inbetween. Make sure that your bike is up to it. Declutter Your Life On the TV, there are countless programmes on sorting your home out, decluttering and improving the spaces in which we live. I am sure many of us would love to live in an organised home, but don't get time to sort things out or indeed don't know how to do it. I have invited Melanie from DeClutterbugs (https://www.declutterbugs.co.uk) to give us a talk on how to tidy. She will give you top tips and strategies that you can implement yourself at home. She combines her love of sorting with coaching, helping us to understand why we hold onto things. Melanie's Approach 'There is no one size fits all approach. The approach for all clients starts at the same point, then it will be tailored accordingly. A busy mum of three does not require the same level of coaching as the person who is hoarding, the person who is neurodivergent may require simple ways to organise than the non-neurodivergent person who is time poor, rather than struggling to stay on task.'
