Join the 2-Day Red Cross Lifeguard Training - Blended Learning event in Mill Valley at Scott Valley. This fun and informative class will teach you the necessary skills to save lives poolside. The training will take place on Saturday, February 10th, and Sunday, February 11th, from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Please note that participants must be 15 years old by the last day of the class. Additionally, a blended certificate of completion is required to participate in the in-person portion of the course. This certificate can be presented in either printed hard copy or electronic format via smartphone.
Before attending the class, participants must pass a series of swim tests, including a nonstop 300-yard swim, 2 minutes of treading water using only your legs, and a timed weight-retrieval drill. Conditioning yourself ahead of the class is highly recommended, especially if you are not accustomed to swimming.
Please be aware of the refund policy, which allows for a 100% refund up to 7 days before the first class start date. No refunds will be given within 7 days of the training, and no refunds will be provided if you fail to meet the requirements, pass the tests, or complete the training.
To prepare for the class, make sure to bring your blended learning certificate of completion, a competitive style swimsuit, snacks/lunch, plenty of water, sun protection, towels, and extra clothing and layers. If you are interested in becoming a part-time, flexible shifts Private Event Lifeguard, apply to our team at the provided link. The position offers $30/hr starting plus tips, and you can choose the times and days you work. To be eligible, you must be 18 years old or have more than one year of lifeguarding experience.
