Join Boscombe and Southbourne based neurodivergent mother-artists Emilie Giles and Corrianna Clarke for this M/Others Who Make creative session. Let's gather, share and make together: A new, simple creative make each session, led by a m/other.With your children in attendance - or not! Events are adult-centred but children are welcome to attend and participate.No particular level of experience is necessary to attend: Women at any stage of their careers or creative journeys are welcome.We provide everything: Creative kit, guidance, tea, toast and some toys and play space for any little ones. All of our groups are designed to welcome women, people who birth and non binary people who are mothers, parents or carers at any stage in their journey. Makers of all interests and disciplines are encouraged to join us, whether your creative identity is a profession, a passion, or lying dormant, you are welcome. Children are encouraged to attend too and are integrated into the meeting, for the dual roles of mother and artist are recognised and given equal value within all MWM events. (MWM) Events are open to all *mothers and non binary parents. Expectant, new, grand, great grand, step, foster, adoptive mothers. Those with babies, or older children. Mothers without living children. Mothers who breastfeed, mothers who bottlefeed. Mothers of any race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity. Mothers with a disability. This in-person event will be held at The Old School House Boscombe, located at Gladstone Road East, Boscombe, Bournemouth, UK. Access is step free. What ticket type do I need? Our Donation tickets support us to keep providing creative opportunities to the community, and our Community tickets support you when you need it most . Where tickets are available, the choice is always yours. Community tickets are limited, so if you can no longer attend, please let us know so that somebody else can benefit in your place. Getting to TOSH If you are coming by foot or by bus, take the M2 bus and get off near Boscanova if coming from Southbourne, or the stop after Aldi if coming from Poole and Bournemouth. If you are coming by car we would recommend parking in the sovereign centre car park on parking on street. There is very limited first come, first serve free parking available onsite. Pokesdown for Boscombe train station is a 15-20 minute walk to TOSH, along Christchurch Road. TOSH has step-free toilets and kitchen facilities. This event offers a unique opportunity to create your own original artwork using texture paste. No previous experience is needed, simply show up, relax, and let the instructor guide you. The event includes complimentary coffee/tea for a truly relaxing experience. Not only will this event help you escape everyday stress, but it is also a great way to meet up with friends and learn something new. Best of all, you won't need to worry about getting supplies as everything will be provided. The texture paste used in this event has a natural, whitish appearance and you will be able to take your painting home safely. However, please note that it will need 24 hours to fully dry. If you prefer to add color to your artwork at home, it is recommended to wait 24 hours. Additionally, if you want to create a beach-inspired or colored artwork without the hassle of buying paints, a two-session workshop is also available. The price for one class, including one canvas with a natural-looking artwork, is £33. For a colored artwork with added acrylic paint into the mixture, the price is £37.
