The Domanaka Festival (abbreviated as Domanaka) is the largest group dance festival in the Chubu-Chubu region of Japan and one of Nagoya's most famous events. The festival, which began in 1999, welcomes various dance styles and invites teams from all over Japan and overseas to participate. The 28th Domanaka Festival will be held from August 28th (Friday) to 30th (Sunday), 2026, at 16 venues in Nagoya City, featuring approximately 200 teams showcasing dances reflecting the unique characteristics of each region. Each team performs with original music and vibrant costumes reflecting local culture, creating a "grand dance" that allows the audience to participate and unites the entire venue in a lively and exciting atmosphere.

The 24th Furusato (All Japan Construction Association) will once again be held this year at Hisaya-Odori Park/Edion Hisaya Plaza/Angel Plaza in the center of Sakae City! This festival, centered around the 39 prefectural associations active in the three prefectures of the Tokai region, conveys the charm of their hometowns through the sale of local specialties, the display of local performing arts, the gathering of mascots, and tourism promotion.

The Aichi International Women's Film Festival is Japan's only international film festival dedicated to women. Founded in 1996, it has been held annually for 30 years and is one of Asia's oldest and most influential women-themed film festivals. 2025 marks its 30th anniversary, and 2026 marks the beginning of its second 30 years. The festival focuses on films directed by women and those that address women's issues and lives, with the core mission of "contributing to the realization of a gender-equal society."

This year, Nagoya's largest autumn event celebrated its 72nd anniversary, with over 700 participants dressed in samurai attire parading through the city streets to commemorate three influential local heroes of the 16th-century Sengoku period: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. The city center was filled with various festive activities, including parades, floats, battle reenactments, samurai horseback archery, and martial arts performances, while concerts were held around Hisaya-Odori Park. This two-day event, usually held in mid-October, attracts thousands of visitors annually.
