"It's a clean hotel with a nice front lobby. Breakfast is pretty good. The room is big, it has a coffee maker an iron, shampoo+conditioner+shower gel (they smelled really nice!). The only thing, the hotel is very old. The decor and furniture are from the nineties, literally. It smells like old furniture but not too bad. The good news is that there are no other bad smells in the hotel. Good value. Staff are nice"

"The underground parking garage is spacious, and at $30 a day, access with your room key is super convenient. There's a trail right next to the hotel, perfect for walks of any length you choose – very pleasant. The location is excellent, really close to the airport. You can even watch planes land from the trail! Plus, there's a shuttle service to and from the airport. There's also a great restaurant right nearby. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with a Target nearby, and it's a 20-minute drive to Koreatown and Beverly Hills. There are plenty of great restaurants around. Being right on the UCLA campus, it's very safe, convenient for campus visits, and always bustling with conferences. The hotel environment is also very good. The downstairs restaurant is quite popular, and it explicitly states that it doesn't charge a service fee, which is a big plus – the service was so good I actually wanted to tip! The food was delicious, and there was a wide selection of drinks. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and it's quite rare for a room not to have a refrigerator, but the bedding was comfortable. You really have to lower your expectations a bit for hotels in the US. For check-out, they don't proactively confirm the bill with guests; they just deduct from your pre-authorization, and it shows up on your credit card statement a bit later. Another hotel I stayed at did the same thing. My understanding is that in the US, trust is a fundamental operating rule."

4. The cleanliness was good, the room was quiet, and the large bed was comfortable.
Other: There were quite a few homeless people nearby; I encountered four of them who kept saying ”hello, hello.” It spooked me so much that I ended up running. While they are unfortunate, it was still a bit scary. I wouldn't recommend going out after dark. There's a convenience store about a 5-minute walk away."

AAL71The location is okay, but it's actually quite a walk from 3rd Street and also the beach. The room was pretty small for US standards, and the decor was a bit rococo. Plus, there were unmentioned extra charges (on top of taxes, occupancy fees + ridiculously expensive parking) and they couldn't even provide me with an accurate invoice... Honestly, you can probably find something better for this price in Santa Monica.

TTravel-I-MustPart of the Hilton brand. We got a Twin room so that we could really rest and sleep well. The hotel is old but they did a good job refurbishing. So the lobby and rooms still give off very modern vibes. I felt the room was a good size. They provided a lot of cupboards. So all you need to do is take your clothes out of your luggage into the drawers and you have a lot of space.
Room was clean. They tried their best with the limited manpower during the first 2 days of our stay.
Location is near to Union Square. Love it or hate it or both. Love it because it is within walking distance to Union Square and from there Chinatown. Or go South and you will be in Financial District. Hate it because if you are planning to drive, parking at night is a very challenging thing for tourists. The security guard was super helpful and he provided great tips which really helped to save a lot on parking. While roadside is free overnight, be very careful to check if there are any road sweeping which makes parking illegal. The other thing is it is very near to Tenderloin. So walking around that area at night can be scary. But to be fair, it is not an issue specific to this hotel only but all hotels in this vicinity.
Our itinerary left little time to explore the hotel itself unfortunately.

__WeChat19578****I was very satisfied with the hotel, and I'd like to add some tips about transportation from the airport to the hotel. If there are four or fewer people traveling, taking the train is a good option, as the fare is $5.25 USD per person. If there are more than four of you, just use Uber. The hotel is very close to the airport. For our family of five, we booked a 6-seater car, which comfortably fit our three large suitcases, and it cost between $25-30 USD. The price varied slightly between our arrival and departure, but it was generally in that range.

However, one aspect of my stay that truly stood out was the breakfast. The hotel's breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a wide range of options to suit every taste. But what really caught my attention was the omelette station.
The omelette chef was incredibly skilled and attentive, creating custom omelettes to order with a wide selection of fillings. Each omelette was cooked to perfection, with a fluffy texture and flavorful fillings that made every bite a treat. I had the pleasure of trying several different combinations, and each one was better than the last.
The quality of the ingredients was also noteworthy. Fresh eggs, a variety of cheeses, and an assortment of vegetables and meats were all on offer, ensuring that every omelette was a delicious and nutritious start to the day.
Overall, my stay at Fremont Marriott was fantastic, and the breakfast omelette was a standout feature that made my experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Fremont Marriott to anyone looking for a comfortable and delicious stay in the area.

It is a few kilometers away from downtown, so it is convenient to drive to shopping and eating. There is a parking lot downstairs for 30 knives a day. The front desk service attitude is very good, and the check-in is very fast. The room facilities are a bit old, and there is a small balcony with a sea view. The bathroom is generally clean, but a cockroach was found in the bathroom.

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars;
First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

We stayed for five nights, but the only downside was that we were charged $5 for the two complimentary bottles of water that were provided.
