Katiliya Mountain Resort and Spa

This hotel is very good. The decoration is a bit classic. The hotel is well maintained. Good service staff at all levels The room is spacious and has everything. The bathroom is very spacious. There is a separate shower room, bathtub and rainshower. The water is very strong, the internet is strong, and there is a router for each room. The hotel is quiet and private, with a lot of trees. It's like you're truly relaxing with nature. Not very far from the city. Driving from Chiang Rai city takes about almost an hour. But the road is good all the way to the hotel. It's not difficult to drive. The food at the restaurant is delicious. You can enjoy every meal, especially the stir-fried basil, very delicious. Impressive. If I have time, I will go back and stay again.

🛖🌳 The atmosphere is friendly. Hidden in the community area of Chiang Rai. It's also secretly in the alley. if unintentionally It's definitely not a drive-thru. Once you enter, it will be like a big house. with ample space Divided into cafe, room and lawn 🌿🍃 The room we stayed in was Deluxe, priced at 2,000 baht, located on the 2nd floor. The room had complete facilities. Clothes rail a bit short because there is no wardrobe the bathroom is ok If there is a partition for the shower zone, it would be better. There is a small balcony. Can be made into a sofa to sit and lie down. 🍳🍚🍞 Breakfast is served as a set with eggs, pan, boiled rice and toast.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure all my needs were met. The pool and fitness center were great for relaxation and staying active. Although the location is a bit far from the main attractions, the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views made up for it.

We stayed here recently, and while the room was big, it felt a bit bare, there wasn’t much furniture, just one bedside table and no proper chair - only a stool. There was no coffee or kettle in the room, but you can get free hot water at the café downstairs (just ask for it) and purchase instant coffee packets, or get a fresh brewed coffee for a fair price. The room had windows at the front and back, but only the one facing the walkway had an insect screen, which was odd since it doesn’t offer any privacy when the window and curtains are open. The back window opened onto an open field, but has no screen. The curtains were about 80% light-blocking, so the room stayed dim after sunrise. The beds were comfy, but the Wi-Fi signal in our room was weak and slow, we had to use our mobile phone data to get decent speeds. Parking is limited, and all the spaces were taken by 8 PM, so plan ahead if you’re driving. There was quite a lot of construction noise starting around 9 AM, but considering it was shortly after the floods, it’s understandable they needed to do repairs. Overall, it’s okay for a short stay if you don’t mind a few quirks, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

This property has 3 sections to it. 1st the Bungalows these are the most outdated and show it but bed's still comfortable these are in A section. B Section is a line of rooms all connected. These are more up to Date and are nice Big rooms with a nice bathroom. The 3rd C Section is a 2 level indoor Walking area to the rooms these have balconies that some overlook the nice swimming pool. Breakfast is served in a very nice area up Front. I found the staff to be very accommodating except for 1 heavy set person on the night staff who was More into his Phone then helping me and answering my question it's as if I was interfering with his video game or whatever he was doing but definitely not doing his Job. If you want to drink anything more than a coffee cup size bring your own drinking items because they only have coffee cups as I have been told by this night staff. Not having regular drinking glasses at a Resort?? Minus 10 points Big slip in my book. But overall very quiet and relaxing. A little outside of the City it's self but definitely not Bad and a good choice for a few nights. Pictures from Section B

The hotel environment is very good, the staff attitude is very good. Anyone who doesn't know Thai the hotel staffs will help. Breakfast was delicious. The swimming pool is clean. The hotel suit for Travelers on vacation, on business trip and those who want a quiet place to relax. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Wiang Inn Hotel

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
We stayed 3 nights in the Wiang Inn Hotel, and it is well located, being able to walk to a few good restaurants, shops and night bazaar within minutes. It is old style, but it was fine for us, as did not spend time during the day there. Breakfast was quite reasonable, including fresh fruit and salads, but they were exposed and the hotel needs to keep all buffet items covered up. Check-in and check-out was very quick and smooth, and they even put us in connecting rooms with two single and one king bed per our request. Bathrooms were tiny. My recommendation is to make a few investments to improve things like a proper coffee machine, add a fitness room and get advice on room decor and overhauls soon. Also there seemed to be noone ”in charge” who could greet the guests and ask how things are, and help guide the staff to become fully autonomous in making improvements. I would recommend the Wiang Inn, but I imagine if more hotel competition or cost pressure comes, they need to act in advance to keep up.

Wonderful, friendly and professional staff. Hotel is modern and squeaky clean. Daily housekeeping. Free bottles of water, tea and coffee. We really liked the glass water bottles which we think are sustainable. Room is spacious for two people. All the amenities for a comfortable stay. Comfy bed but the pillows were too high, made uncomfortable to sleep on it. Good air-conditioning. Ample hot water. Bathroom with good fittings. Water pressure was impressive. Spacious refrigerator which is cool. Flat screen tv with local tv channels. Nice indoor swimming pool but open roof so during the daytime it gets enough sunlight. Hotel provides washing machine with a drier. 100 Baht for wash and dry for one hour cycle. Free bicycles for a deposit of 500 Baht. Hotel's location is great which is walking distance to the main bus stop, night bazaar and the temples. We highly recommend this hotel.
