Anonymous UserThe hotel breakfast was a highlight – a wide variety and great value for money. The room was a bit dim, as mentioned in other reviews, but overall it was clean. The hotel has a great vibe, perfect for young people. I saw someone describe it as a 'fancy hostel,' and it really has that feel. I messed up making my waffle at breakfast, and a friendly foreigner spontaneously offered to help, which totally solidified that vibe! You have to look after your own luggage if you store it in your room, but we brought our own lock, so it wasn't a big issue. P.S. The photo booth downstairs was hilarious; it takes pictures without any warning!

OcheapStayed at Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel and really enjoyed the experience.
Location wise, it’s superb — very convenient and close to everything in central Stockholm.
I chose the Premium Room and it was very spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the city.
The breakfast was also great, with many delicious food options and everything tasted really good. Definitely a hotel I would stay at again when visiting Stockholm.

ThingolWe stayed here overnight before flying home. It was a wonderful hotel with an excellent breakfast and a lovely swimming pool! There was also table tennis and a well-equipped gym in the basement of the building, in addition to a sauna in each of the gendered changing rooms.
It is a little difficult to reach the hotel, though there is a shuttle bus. The hotel would benefit tremendously by developing a guide to show customers how they can easily access the hotel via foot from each of the respective airport terminals and via the free airport shuttle bus (I believe it was the T3 Alfa, bus). Finding the hotel was not trivial, even after checking in advance. Following google maps does seem to work, but you do get the awful sensation that it might try to lead you to places you don't want to end up (i.e., the high-way!). This is why I recommend the hotel creates a detailed guide on how to access the hotel, from the airport terminal buildings.
If you are worried about reaching the hotel (it isn't far - it is walkable if accessibility isn't an issue), then I recommend you call them in advance and ask them for travel instructions. If accessibility is an issue for you and walking is difficult, I would recommend you call the hotel and ask them whether you would be able to reach the free airport shuttle bus terminal from your arrival destination - if not, I'm afraid you will have to call an uber/taxi to get you there as it is a long walk with luggage.
Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would look to book again in the future.

I booked a double room this time, and it was spacious enough to fully open our suitcases. Overall, the room's amenities were great. There was a hairdryer (stored in a black bag), bedside lamps and outlets, and hangers. A minor drawback was that extra towels cost money, and there were many other paid services (which I didn't look into carefully). Check-in and check-out times were very busy, and we had to queue for a long time (even though there were self-service kiosks next to the counter, nobody seemed to know about them). Luggage storage also costs money, and although there seemed to be a lot of space, it wasn't quite enough (especially for large suitcases). I'd recommend considering this.

I had a fantastic stay at Story Hotel Stockholm Stureplan right in the heart of Stockholm. The location was unbeatable — just steps away from great shopping streets, excellent restaurants, and easy access to public transport, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. Many attractions like Nybroviken, Strandvägen promenade, and the metro are within walking distance, so it was incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, from check‑in to offering local tips. They made me feel truly welcome, and service throughout my stay was consistently excellent.
The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with modern design details that gave it a chic, Scandinavian vibe. While European city hotels sometimes have smaller rooms, everything felt well‑organized and cozy, and the comfortable bed ensured a great night’s sleep.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet — it offered a variety of tasty choices and was a great way to start each morning before heading out to explore.
The hotel also has a lively bar and restaurant downstairs, perfect for grabbing a drink or dinner without going far. The overall vibe of the property was modern and fun, making the stay feel more like a memorable experience than just another hotel visit.
Overall, I would highly recommend Story Hotel Stockholm Stureplan to anyone visiting Stockholm — especially if you want a stylish, centrally located hotel with great service and a welcoming atmosphere.

pippi312This hotel was an absolute pleasant surprise! Though the room wasn't huge, it was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was particularly well-appointed with thoughtful details: the showerhead's button design was the most sensible and convenient I've encountered in any hotel, and the heated towel rail ensured soft, dry towels.
Getting here is incredibly convenient: from the airport, take bus 579 or 583 to Märsta, then transfer to Pendeltåg 40 or 41 and alight at Ulriksdal station. The hotel is just a one-minute walk to the right after exiting the station.
Bus 509 stops directly across the street from the hotel. A few stops will take you to Ulriksdal Palace – I highly recommend visiting if you have time, and don't miss the excellent desserts at its cafe! Alternatively, taking bus 509 in the opposite direction for about 10-15 minutes will bring you to Solna Centrum, which boasts a large supermarket and numerous shops.
A crucial tip: book well in advance! I secured a significant discount on the room rate by booking three months ahead. Also, be aware that in Swedish hotels, you typically need to proactively inform the front desk if you wish to have your room cleaned.
The photo shows Ulriksdal.

Shanghai based coupleI stayed here with my mom who is from Sweden and is 79 years old but was travelling from the UK where she now lives. We were visiting family, both in and around Stockholm. This was an important trip for her, and me and we really needed it to go well.
Given such high expectations and unusual requirements because of my mom’s her age, we were really surprised by how well this hotel delivered and absolutely delighted with our stay.
The location was flawless and allowed her to see and do things nearby unassisted, while also allowing us to use the train from the main train station 5 minutes away to go to a nearby town, as well as within walking distance to meet her old school friends in a quintessentially Swedish coffee shop in the centre of town.
Breakfast was very authentically Swedish, but it was a bit odd that they didn’t have limpa bread. Otherwise an excellent selection of Scandinavian food that was delicious and filling. The view to the Stadshuset (Stoholm’s City Hall) where the majority of the Nobel prizes are given out from in the restaurant was really charming.
The rooms were spacious and finished to a really high standard.
The service and the staff were fantastic, including Marcus who met us at the door and helped with out bags, as well as Hannah and George. We cannot thank the whole team enough for thoughtful and awesome work to make such an important trip so memorable, easy and enjoyable.

NiumakeThe hotel is centrally located in Stockholm. It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Station after taking the Arlanda Express from the airport. The rooms are a bit small but functional, and the breakfast spread is decent. The common areas are quite comfortable. It's also a short walk to the T-Centralen metro station, making it convenient to experience Stockholm's famously well-designed subway system.
