"This hotel was a stop gap measure as our accommodation fell through and we needed something quickly. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and not cramped. I had an ample twin room and the bathroom was spotless. Overall the hotel was fine just a little faded and in need of a renovation just for aesthetics."

"Wonderful experience and the best hotel during our stay in Madeira. Perfect price and value proposition with a staff who are really customers oriented and friendly. Smaller hotel what is never overcrowded. Nice charming design elements. Very good breakfast with selection of local cheeses and meat. Real juice would be the only needed improvement and some pastel de Nata for the breakfast would add to the mandatory Portuguese experience. Otherwise 100% perfect stay. Excellent swimming pool with sea water. Yes. The rooms are somewhat dated but super clean and comfortable. I didn't came here to see golden chandeliers so l was super satistied! Excellent location and direct sea access. What more could one look for??"

"This hotel is close to the airport which is fine for us because of the cancellation of our flight back home. The weather was bad at night with heavy rain and we heated that in our room through the drain of the airconditioning. Which is a bad design and old dated. Also check-in required a written registration of a credit card including security code on paper which is a very old dated process and prone for fraud."

"This was a very decent and affordable hotel — nothing fancy or luxurious, but it covers the basics quite well. It’s clean, efficient, and does the job for travelers looking for a simple place to stay. One of the best surprises was that if you’re lucky enough to get a room with ocean views, it really adds a lot of value to the overall experience. That said, there were some clear drawbacks. The room itself felt extremely tight, especially for two people with a couple of suitcases. There was very limited space to move around, which made things feel a bit cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was also quite small, and while functional, it lacked the comfort you’d hope for in a multi-day stay. One highlight was the balcony. Though the interior space was tight, the room had a good-sized balcony where we enjoyed golden hour and sunset views — that part was genuinely lovely and added a sense of openness and relaxation we didn’t get inside the room. The most significant downside for me was the parking situation. The hotel only has three official parking spots, which are always full. Given the area is busy and surrounded by in-demand places like grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and a laundromat, street parking is very limited and expensive. I had to park at a nearby garage, which cost 10 euros overnight. As for the rooftop, the amenities there weren’t particularly impressive — nothing that would stand out compared to more upscale hotels. But once again, the ocean and sunset views from the rooftop are stunning and give you a brief illusion of being at a five-star resort. All in all, this hotel offers good value for money, especially if you’re not planning to spend too much time in the room. It’s a solid base for exploring the area, as long as you’re okay with a few compromises in comfort and convenience."

"I chose a hotel with an ocean view at an affordable price. As a result, there was a hotel with very spacious rooms, panoramic window, coffee/tea, a comfortable bathroom with bid, a large balcony. The only moments: a separate bed for the couple and a weak shower. Noise of night waves on the amateur:) We had to close the door on the balcony, though it was quite noisy. The service is very friendly.  Breakfast is delicious and fresh. There are plenty of baking, drinks, cuts and hot.  I didn't expect there would be a free transfer to the center and back. Absolute plus this hotel because it is not in step-by-step access from the center.  The views, the purity near the hotel, its beach is amazing.  Then we lived in the private sector and a lot of what looked at the island, but the first two nights in Orca Praia remained in our heart 💘 With respect,  Elena from Russia"

"Cool Ronaldo/football themed hotel. Staff were excellent, rooms - modern and quiet. The hotel is about 15-20 mins walk to the city life. You get a free ticket to CR7 museum with your stay (worth €5)."

"Booking this hotel for just over 200 a night was an absolute steal! The only downside is its somewhat remote location; you have to walk over 20 minutes to catch a bus (though there are buses outside, they are infrequent). Directly below the hotel is a large Christian cross, and it faces the sea – it's just beautiful. It’s super convenient to wake up early and watch the sunrise from the beach, only a 20-minute walk away. Picture 5 shows my experience doing just that. The hotel breakfast is also very generous. On my last day, because I had an early flight, they let me in to eat breakfast ahead of schedule (I ate at 7 AM, even though it usually starts at 7:30 AM). As some other reviews mentioned, WiFi is only available in the reception lobby. However, they have free live music on weekend evenings, so I don't mind heading down there to grab some WiFi."

"Double room for single occupancy; the room is rather substandard and in no way meets the standards of a 4-star hotel. Upon arrival, there was a steadily growing puddle under the sink in the bathroom, extending behind the toilet. The damage must have been known for some time, as the corresponding limescale stains had not been removed. There were water stains all over the bathroom ceiling, a discolored shower curtain, and not a single electrical outlet (even for an electric toothbrush). The room itself is only habitable with the balcony closed, as jackhammers and excavators operate loudly from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the hotel opposite, making noise impossible to ignore even with the door closed. Therefore, balcony use is only possible after 6:00 PM. Moving to another room is not possible, as the hotel is fully booked. For my trip costing €622, I was offered a complimentary dinner (worth €21.50) in the hotel restaurant on the last evening as compensation."
