Star Inn Peniche

This place is adorable and so cozy. It's just steps away from great surfing and also within walking distance to the Rip Curl store. They have a very nice continental breakfast each morning, which made it very easy to roll out of bed and hit the beach! My room had a balcony with a lovely view of the sunrise and the sound of the waves from just over the dunes. An added bonus for me was the designated area to rinse wetsuits/surf gear behind the hotel. I visited just before Christmas and the lobby was beautifully decorated. I hope to be able to return for another Christmas visit!

Campanile Caldas Da Rainha

We stayed at the “Campanile” hotel in Caldas de Rainha for three nights during October. It was a pleasant stay, in a modern hotel with easy access to main roads, a supermarket near-by, free parking and a room with all amenities. As is the custom lately there is only soap no shampoo, so bring some. The location is in a convenient spot for day trips to close destinations, like the Obidos Castle, the Nazere lighthouse, the Fatima shrine or the Buddha Garden of Eden; all these are within an hour drive. There was a misunderstanding between ******* and the hotel regarding the cost of breakfast. We had seen “included” when booking, but the hotel asked for pay; ******* promised to reimburse us for the cost (6 Euro/day/person). We would recommend this hotel for its location, amenities and low cost.
Hotel Miramar Sul

First I'd like thank the lovely receptionist who checked us in and later offered us a ride to the village as we were walking there. I didn't get the chance thank her again. We decline as we love to walk and wander but we were very appreciative of her gesture. The hotel has a lovely view over the beach and the cliffs. We took advantage the dinner buffer which had a lot choices and all were delicious. Breakfast was also great, the bed comfy and the room cozy. We will definitely be back someday.
Hotel Cristal Vieira Praia & Spa

We are currently staying here, and I’m absolutely fuming. Have asked 5 times to resolve the no aircon issue- after they admitted at the reception that the central air was off! Apparently the maintenance man came to the room, nothing resolved. 2700€ for 3 nights in a hotel. Now supposedly resolved tmrw?? After mentioning at 1pm and now it’s 10pm. No offer to change our rooms. No offer for compensation. The nice receptionist has been able to do anything. And now, to top it all all… banging and moving of furniture of the Restaurant below and it’s almost midnight! How are we supposed to accept that we actually paid to stay here!?
Eurosol Residence Hotel Apartamento

Warm reception, delightful friendly and helpful staff throughout. Great breakfast choice in restaurant with views across the town to the wonderful castle. Nice little rooftop pool and bar. The mini apartment was great .... big comfortable beds, nicely equipped kitchen area and spacious lounge. All clean. Couldn't have asked for more especially at the orice. Really impressed.
Selina Peniche

The name is a bit misleading at it is in Baleal/Ferrel not in Peniche. People got confused cause Peniche has a street with the same name. I recommend not to book the breakfast ahead because the restaurant opens quite late and you might not have the change to take it. I could not enjoy 2 out of 3 breakfasts I had already paid for - the restaurants opens at 8:30 am, meeting for the surf session in the morning was at 8:45 am. So I wasted my money here. The Mexican restaurant is amazing, loved very single dish there! The portions are quite small so you have to order 2, but the prices are not too high. Waitresses are very slow unfortunately, you have to wait a long time until someone finally sees you. Kitchen and dorm were not the cleanest. Nobody used the small pool as it looked quite ugly and dirty. What I disliked most was the huge locker obove the bed. You don't have a lot of space so I hurt my knee a couple times at the sharp edge. Interior is nice, Yoga session was for free and quite nice too. If you are sensitive with noise be aware that the halfpipe in front of the house is quite loud. Distance to the beaches is fine, there are amazing deserted beaches behind the house (walk inside the second street on the right and climb down the rocks). Would not stay there again, I think it is overrated.
Hotel Mare

Overall it was a good stay. The location is excellent right down by the beach. The staff were very nice. The room was on the small side but had a balcony with a view of the funicular. Bed was small and could be more comfortable. A small refrigerator in the room would be an improvement. The modern bathroom was small but efficient. There was a bathtub but only a handheld showerhead. Breakfast was good and was served on the top floor of the hotel with really nice views of Nazare. The hotel will explain where to park on the street. If you can't find a spot, they have a garage but be prepared, it's a bit of a hike up a hill. The hotel has a spot in front where you can pull in and drop off/pick up your luggage after checking in/out so you don't have to lug it through the streets.
Real Abadia, Congress & Spa Hotel

Este hotel simplesmente não funciona. Nada funciona. A limpeza é péssima.
