We stayed here for 5 nights to be able to acclimatise to the weather in Panama. We got a room with windows to the floor, which gives a nice touch for the view over the city. The room is ok, spacious, but worn out. Specially the bathroom is in need of a make-over. The beds were mixed, one had a good mattress the other a soft one with a dent in it. Wifi worked very well. Very friendly staff. My main reason for 3 starts is that this hotel advertises itself as adhering to Planet 21, (link to Accor Planet 21 site removed  ) meaning amongst others that they are reducing food waste. Well, have a look at the pictures here and you'll see that a small portion of jelly is in a plastic cup, the abricot jam is in plastic, the butter is in plastic, and the youghurt as well. The third picture shows you the waste after having had breakfast... I know I have a sweet tooth ;) So, not really planet 21...

We arrive to the airport, and a bus was sent for pick up by Riande Hotel. It has a shift every hour. The room was clean and a nice smell of roses. The pool is huge and warm at night. The bar near the pool was great, good drinks and great dinner. Next day we left to the Airport with the bus of Riande Hotel. Highly recomended

We enjoyed Sunday brunch at the Hilton Panama. There was a great variety of food: omelette station, fresh-squeezed juices, pastries, and local foods. There is a great view of Avenida de Balboa and the Pacific Ocean from the outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, especially Alexandra. Even though we were lodging elsewhere, we came here for brunch twice. I look forward to going back when I return to Ciudad de Panamá.

We found our stay very pleasant!! Staff are helpful and happy !!! Meals were very nice and bar was good !!! Parking on site a definite advantage !! Good location with restaurants cafes and shopping not too far away!! As I am a pet owner being Pet friendly was certainly one of the main reasons for choosing this Hotel!!! Unfortunately for my situation as my dogs have fresh food diet having the fridges removed from rooms I had to rely on trying to keep food cold via ice! Ice machines also not available but you could get a small bag of ice from bar !!! I would stay again but if either my dogs it would only be for one night

Excellent choice in Panama City, the rooms are perfect, neighbourhood is great with endless number of restaurants. Continental breakfast is amazing. We stayed here for 10 days, however 1 single issue did confuse & upset us: Here was the scenario explained to them: - 10 nights of stay - guest A&B stayed for the first 6 days. - guest A alone 7th day - guest A&C the last 3 nights. Told them upfront that 1 guest leaves & another will join later. They charged $27.5/day, admin fee to change a guest name!? This was after suggesting that we cancel with Trip.com & rebook again with the correct names. We told them it doesn’t make sense to do that & it was disappointing that they couldn’t offer any solution to a customer who just gave them 10 days of business & being a Riu Class member loyal to this chain.

Excellent stay at The Crowne. This hotel exceeded our expectation. The room was very cosy and extremely clean. The buffet was delicious with a reazonable price. We could enjoy the swimming pool and it was relaxing. The souvenirs were very nice and affordable. The staff was professional, and we had an excellent and warm welcome. Everything was perfect! Nothing to worry about! I higly recommend The Crowne Hotel Airport. There is also a free shuttle to and from the hotel! I will for sure book the Corwne again. It was my second time there.

This is a great hotel with a wonderful people that always try to help It is a hotel where they make you feel like family. All the staff treat you very kindly and try to make your stay very pleasant. Thank you Karen, Isis (in reception) and Laura (housekeeping) who were always attentive to our requests. It is a great hotel with excellent service and everything is close. You can walk and in a few minutes find what you are looking for The truth is that I highly recommend this hotel

Loved the room for view and cleanliness. Had a great customer service satisfaction. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Loved the atmosphere . Enjoyed the lunch at restaurant . Loved the location. Had easy access to taxi services. Was helped with taxi to airport. And great check out experience

My stay was okay, good location close to amazing restaurants and the multi plaza mall. Breakfast and bar was okay with friendly staff. However the flaws were the room was freezing cold; tried to adjust but remained cold. Turned off the ac for the entire trip but was never hot. Room needs more amenities; offered only coffee we had to ask for tea, no bathrobes or slippers. Also house keeping cleaned rooms at 4 and later when guests are returning from a long day and need to enter. Not a bad hotel but needs to fix those issues.

Great customer service and attention to detail. Yahira was always willing to help. Great customer service and personal touch. Gabriel was attentive and willing to do whatever it took to ensure my stay was 2nd to none.

The only ding I had was that the room could have use a more thorough cleaning, as we noticed some mold in our room, but I guess its difficult in such a humid climate. The breakfast offered was delicious and the attendants were super involved and attentive. We were met with plenty of helpful hands while traveling with our little ones. We also loved our room and the view from our room during our stay at this hotel. Our refrigerator was stacked with plenty of refreshment if we required anything at a moments notice, but we decided not to purchase anything from the refrigerator while there - so no idea if the cost was reasonable. The pool area was enjoyed by the kids and we also enjoyed the poolside service we were offered while enjoying the pool. We really liked most of the amenities during our time we spent at the JW Marriot and would be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The customer recommended, the old town, the hotel is also very beautiful, the room is a little small, the breakfast variety is not too much. The president lives nearby, so this piece of law and order is also very good. There is a fishing market nearby, there are many seafood stalls inside, and I will stay here next time.

The hotel also is well positioned for visits to the old town, modern city, and for eco-tourism if you are planning to explore both the city and countryside. For travelers who prefer to return to a nice resort amenities after a day of adventure, The Santa Maria is an ideal choice. When we arrived, there were a couple people in line before us checking in and we were approached by the affable beverage manager who offered us a warm welcome and asked if we would like any refreshments. Check-in was a smooth and friendly process and we found our room to be spotless with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant by the pool as well as dinner in the main dining room, The cuisine and service were both excellent. The pool and surrounding patio area were quite large with ample chaise lounges spaced comfortably apart. We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon by the pool. The pool area would be a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We were traveling as a couple without children but the pool area is a large plus for families with children - and the pool is large enough that energetic children can easily be kept away from adults who are enjoying a quiet read by the pool. We arrived during the Sunday brunch, which looked utterly amazing. Evidence of the resort's love for children was that Mickey and Minnie Mouse were greeting families as they arrived for brunch. The resort was an oasis of calm despite its youthful visitors so couples seeking some peace and quiet should not be deterred from visiting. Whether you are looking for a desirable hotel handy to the airport or a resort for a lengthier stay, The Santa Maria is a great choice.

I was delayed in Panama City and was sent to this hotel by COPA Airlines for a one night stay. I arrived early in the morning and was in the hotel for 18 hours. In the morning, I noticed red blotching on my chest and back and it was itching. I got home the following day and for 3 days, same symptoms. I went to the Urgent Care and they diagnosed the problem as bedbugs. I have 3M miles of travelling and have never had bedbugs before. I have contacted the hotel and suggested that they fumigate room 1625 immediatley.

What a disaster experience ! Really a shame for a brand and image like Intercontinental. A ”i don't care” attitude all over the place, bad service, bad rooms ... Difficult to find something positive about this hotel except the location and the view. 1) forget any decent checkin : the staff don't even look at you (even if you wait at the special counter for IHG level guests ; i was told ”come here” ... Nice welcome. 2) room was not ready at the end of the day 3) area of swimming pool is just dirty (paper, dust all around) - see picture 4) room is not fresh; air conditionning leaking on the wall and floor, 1 cm space between the door and the wall ... Avoid a room close to the lift because you will hear the whole night the ding dong ... 5) don t disturb some staff member at the breakfast; they are not there to clean the table or serve a coffee (when you finally call him, he just avoids to come) Was it only us ? Are we too demanding for such an hotel ? Never again ...

I moved from another Marriott property after 6 days and spent five nights at this hotel. The room is enormous and very comfortable. I was put on the 12th floor with an amazing view. Climate control worked perfectly although it was not adjustable. Thank God it was already set on an Arctic 65° f temperature. Swimming pool and gym or top notch. I only wish there were blinds in the gym because going in the afternoon means some directly in your face on all of the cardio equipment. Swimming pool is large and sparkling clean as is the hot tub. Parking is free and quite safe inside the hotel garage. Most of the staff at the front desk or extremely friendly and helpful. However a surprising number of employees do not speak English adequate to communicate with tourists. For my purposes, the location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. And the hotel restaurant far exceeded my expectations. Check in was effortless. And there is essentially no check out, you just leave like most hotels. There is laundry on every floor. And the process worked well for me, but it is oddly complex. The front desk keeps a limited number of laundry machine payment cards. If the payment card is already checked out but the machine is vacant, it's impossible to use the machine. I strongly recommend rethinking that process. If I'm in Panama City again, this will definitely be my preferred lodging.

The hotel is located in the old town of Panama, strategically located, within walking distance of the Panama Presidential Palace. Strong colonial era style, exquisite and elegant decoration, friendly and thoughtful service, looking forward to the opportunity to go again with your family.

I had the best time staying at this hotel. The rooms were always clean and fresh. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and always ready to assist. Some notable mentions include the chief concierge Diana, who ensured that all my tours were on schedule, and who would have arranged a special birthday surprise in my room. The Canal bistro was always open on time for breakfast with exceptional service from the staff especially José and Fabio who were very pleasant and professional in performing their duties. Dinner in the Ancon Hill restaurant was also very good with excellent food and remarkable service from Sergio who was very warm, friendly and professional. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and my wife and I will definitely stay here again on our return visit to Panama.

We are very happy to have found this property, the rainforest right outside the city. We split our stay in Panama between Panama City and the rainforest and this hotel did not disappoint. Our balcony overlooked the forest and every morning we opened our door to hear the birds, frogs, and one morning, a howler monkey. We took advantage of the tours to see the sloths, butterflies, frogs and the other animals whose habitat is the golf and resort property. There are very nice trails you can explore on your own or sign up for a guided tour. We also took advantage of the shuttle to go to the Parque Metropolitan where we spent more time in the natural beauty of Panama. I highly recommend adding this stop to a trip around Panama City to see the natural side of the area. The hotel does need updating. As with a lot of places, the place probably suffered during the pandemic. However, every member of the staff we came in contact with went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They were very kind and accommodating, and very helpful since we do not speak Spanish and sometimes that was a challenge. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

If it wasn't for the pool I'd have given a higher rating. I stayed in the hotel for 11 nights. No complaints about it as I had a nice big room, everything was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the pool area lets the hotel down very badly and it was because there was a pool that I had chosen to stay there. I checked with 2 different people and they confirmed it was part of the hotel. The pool itself was clean but that's all I can say that's positive. There was rubbish all round the edges of the pool area, including under the stairs, the artificial grass was a mess with bits of debris on it, there were no sunbeds (the photo is clearly well out of date), there were 3 old, scruffy and dirty mattresses and the white plastic chairs were dirty. The screens covering the stored paddleboards around the sides were dirty and had bird poo on them. There were weeds. Interestingly, at weekends when there were a lot of paddle boarders, sun umbrellas, clean chairs and an awning were put out. It's a pity that the hotel guests, who were paying to stay there, weren't treated so well. There were 1, sometimes 2, men 'working' there. For hours every day they sat staring at their mobile phones, doing absolutely nothing. Perhaps this is just down to personal taste but the noisy music from the 2 adjacent restaurants was awful. Someone needs to take a good look at the pool area, get it cleaned up and invest in some sunbeds, mattresses and clean chairs. It needs to be actively managed rather than just left to deteriorate. Be warned: if you want a hotel with a nice pool to relax beside, and peace and quiet, go elsewhere.

Temporarily intent to live for one day. The location is nearly 20 kilometers away from the airport. This time, Panama needs to remind everyone that when you check-in, you will be asked why you are going to Panama, and you will be required to show the ticket and the domestic accommodation certificate. At that time, I thought that I needed a yellow book when I bought a ticket on Ctrip. Therefore, I only bought the flight ticket and did not buy the flight ticket from the country. As a result, I was not allowed to board the plane when I checked in. I said that there are regulations. Fortunately, I contacted Ctrip SOS customer service urgently and asked for a flight ticket from Panama to Canada, which was completed within one hour, because it was only one hour away from the boarding time. Finally, through Ctrip English customer service and Panama Airlines, they finally agreed to register. The Yellow Book did not ask, a false alarm. After arriving in the Panamanian state, don't stay for 15 minutes when entering the customs to confirm whether there is any suspicion of staying in the country.
