"The rooms are very compact, and have everything you need apart from a cooking area. There is a fridge though. There is storage under the bed and good air conditioning. You can also have access to a laundry room and parking around the corner for an extra charge. With a bar and restaurant downstairs and it's central location it's perfect for exploring the city. The staff are very friendly and supportive too."

"I would rate this hotel higher if I could. Location was extremely convenient, and we were able to be at the airport check-in counter within less than 5 minutes from exiting the hotel. The room was spacious, the toilet was very clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and there was a water refill station on our level which was very convenient. There was also a luggage weighing scale at the first floor which allowed us to measure our luggage before we flew back. Overall a very good experience staying at this hotel and would strongly recommend for anyone flying out of Christchurch to stay here."

"Second time I've stayed here. First visit couldn't fault. This visit Requested a room with a balcony when I booked three weeks ago. This did not occur Early check in as I was going to the cricket. Could not do Issues with the tv and not getting the channel I wanted Spa bath - did not work Lying in the bath, looking at the toilet from under the eye line. Totally discusting, big build up of unclean scum Even if the spa bath was working, no soap/bubble bath provided. Really quite disappointing as my last visit was great"

"My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!"

"It was pretty good, though the location isn't ideal. It took us about 20-30 minutes to walk from the train station. Getting to the airport required a taxi, which was easy to hail. What stood out to me was the dryer – the room had an individual one that worked really well. On our second stay, we got a combo washer/dryer in the same room type, and that wasn't as good. So, if you need laundry facilities, try to get a room with a separate dryer. I didn't have breakfast. Check-in at the front desk was smooth and quick. The room was quite clean and hygienic. It's a new hotel with large, bright windows. The price wasn't too expensive, I remember paying around 700-800 RMB a night, even in the peak season of January. That might be because I had pre-purchased a package voucher. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it; it's good value for money. I didn't take any pictures of the room."

"Spacious and good. The next day, I returned a rental car from Christchurch Airport. I was wondering if I would sleep in the city or outside. I was good at choosing this place. Save the cost and the hostel is very spacious. There's time to go to the airport, and we're walking around the valley of Hutshan. I had a rice cooker at a Korean restaurant."

"The room was up 2 flights of stairs - no lift so a struggle with heavy suitcases. Room clean but felt the bathroom & especially the shower floor was very slippy when wet, felt very unsafe using the shower !! Might be ok for younger guests but not one I would recommend for older guests"
