"The hotel is located in downtown Bergen, just a 10-minute walk from the Fish Market. My room was in a separate building from the reception. The room was very clean, but it lacked amenities like toothbrushes, cups, and a kettle. The coffee machine on the first floor was out of water, and I had to go to the building across the street to get coffee, which was inconvenient at night. The elevator is old-fashioned and frequently stopped on the eighth floor, so guests often had to take the stairs."

"The room had a window and two twin beds pushed together. It wasn't large, but that's pretty standard for Europe and can't really be compared to hotels in China.
The highlight was definitely the breakfast – it was incredibly rich and had a great variety of fruits like apples, pears, watermelon, and plums.
Dinner and breakfast were served in the same place. Dinner was a bit pricey but absolutely delicious. We ended up eating there two nights and everything we ordered was fantastic, no duds at all.
Tip: When dining here, they ask you to choose a tip percentage (5%, 10%, 15%, or skip) before you even get to the payment screen. The first time, I chose 15%, and the second time, 10%. I noticed other restaurants did this as well.
The three dishes pictured were excellent; I didn't get photos of the others."

It's also within walking distance to the fish market or the cable car. A few minutes' walk from the hotel, there's a beautiful octagonal lake that's perfect for a stroll or some quiet reflection. The room I was assigned was clean, bright, and spacious, with a large window overlooking the street and some charming houses across the way. Check-in and check-out are self-service, but staff are available to assist if needed."

"The hotel has a great location, right near the pier. Although the exterior is European-style architecture, the rooms are modern and simple. The rooms are spacious enough to easily accommodate two large suitcases. Room cleaning was very prompt. The restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. The staff are all warm and attentive. Parking was done in the hotel's recommended parking lot for over 47 hours, costing 467 kronor. I don't know about any discounts, just for your reference."

"Overall, Citybox Danmarksplass was pretty much exactly what I expected. I really liked its location and accessibility. The Danmarksplass light rail station is right nearby, making it super convenient to get to both Bergen city center and the airport. It's a huge plus for anyone traveling by public transport.
I also appreciated the self-service check-in and check-out. The entire process was quick and easy, with no need to queue or spend a lot of time on formalities. This really aligns with Citybox’s concept of simple, independent, and efficient accommodation.
The hotel itself was just as I had imagined: convenient, clean, simple, modern, and very practical. While the room design is minimalist, it meets all basic accommodation needs and was kept very clean and comfortable.
The communal areas are also very practical, offering a guest kitchen, microwave, kettle, and other facilities. There's also luggage storage and self-service laundry, which are all very handy for travelers.
If I visit Bergen again, I would definitely consider staying here. For me, it's not a luxury hotel, but a practical one that offers convenient transport, cleanliness, reasonable prices, and a very straightforward check-in process."

"Loved that the staff were nice and helpful. breakfast was lovely and a good spread. The hotel was conveniently located and we could almost walk everywhere. Parking was quite close but I would recommend to drop off your luggage before driving to the parking as walking on cobblestone floors in the rain is definitely an experience of its own. Parking is expensive and not included in the hotel but well it’s in the city centre so I wouldn’t expect anything less. The hotel staff also helped us to store our luggage when we went out on our activities for the day. We stayed here twice! It was only lacking some amenities that I was used to like toothbrushes, slippers, bathrobes and shower caps but the rest were provided"

For a tourist without car, it is in excellent location, 7 minutes to railway station to/from airport on foot with luggage n railway ticket just cost nok44 , walking distance to cable station to Floyen mount or Bergenhus or Ferry pier and shops. I reserved a small room but got a room of good size with windows and sofa. There are supporting staff in reception always and they can help me for my enquiries. They can provide electrical kettle at request. Coffee is free in lobby. Breakfast is also good , simple with good choices. I will reserve it if I will visit Bergen again.

Weekday breakfast is only served until 9:30 AM, and by around 9:00 AM, items are not refilled. I stayed for 3 days and there was no variety, and the selection even decreased over time. The location isn't great; it takes about a 7-minute walk to reach the bus, and a single trip costs 50 NOK. The room has no fridge or hot water, and the desk is tiny, making it impossible to place anything on it. Aside from the friendly service, if you're only staying for 2 days, there's really no need to stay somewhere this far out...

WeiweidexiaoyuThe hotel's location is excellent, and the environment and atmosphere are beautiful. This 100-year-old hotel, originally built by the British, still retains its English country style. The rooms are relatively small, and the facilities aren't the newest, so there are no USB ports – you'll need to bring your own adapter. Like most European hotels, there are no slippers, toothbrushes, or toothpaste, so be sure to pack those. Breakfast is good, with various salmon options. The rooms are on the smaller side, so it might be a bit tight if you have a lot of luggage.

Perfect location right in the city center. Walking distance to train, bus station and stops plus major tourist sights. Lots of restaurants within minutes of walking. Breakfast was decent, a plus when eating out is so expensive in Norway. Our room located in the front of the building can be a bit noisy during the weekend, having double glazed windows help. Friendly and helpful staff too. Highly recommend.
