"The hotel was unique in its design. The room was spacious for 3 and the interior design of the room was great. Toilet, bathroom and bathtub were separated and we had all face no problem when we need them
Breakfast however was slightly below expected, the fruits were not so sweet and the cereals was a let down. It does not taste like original coco crunch and corn flakes. But other than that other food were okay for hotel level.
On the service, all the staff there were excellent and I had a wonderful stay throughout and ya they do also provide laugage storage in case you have a later flight.
It could have been awesome shall there be swimming pool available which were allowed for homestay residence only
But overall, I do love this hotel in terms of their service and design. ."

The boutique Hotel on Kota Kinabalu's iconic Gaya Street where the weekly festival Sunday Morning Market is held, as well as the Friday and Saturday Api-Api Night Food Market, featuring open air dinning and high energy music atmosphere with performers playing crowds, particularly around 10PM. Walking distance to the large Suria Sabah Shopping Mall with varieties of restaurants and fashion and to the ferry jetty for Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, a very popular premier island hopping destination for swimming, snorkelling, water sports and beach picnics just 20 minutes boat ride from the City.
"In Kota Kinabalu, accommodation is generally categorized into two price ranges: above and below 500MYR. For those above 500MYR, there are only a handful of decent options, but they often lack convenient transportation. For those under 500MYR, the quality you get pretty much depends on how much you spend, and frankly, it's a bit of a gamble – a 400MYR room isn't necessarily better than a 100MYR one, it's all down to luck. This hotel, however, gets a big thumbs up from me! The room size is around 15-17 square meters, so not huge, but everything is fully equipped, clean, and tidy, which is super important for a Libra like me.
The only minor downsides were the insufficient hot water (though after showering with cool water on the island, even lukewarm water felt warm back at the hotel, haha!). Also, the parking lot behind the hotel had about 15 minutes of noisy trash collection every night.
Overall, I'd give it a 4.5-star recommendation – it really blew the competition out of the water! I'll be writing up a full guide on Douyin and Xiaohongshu soon."

"I chose this hotel for my business trip and the location was absolutely perfect, just a ten-minute walk to the conference venue. The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the room was the view outside the window; you could see the entire landscape, and the vista was exceptional. All the facilities in the room were new and complete, the bedding was just the right firmness for a very comfortable sleep, and the desk height was perfect for my laptop. I stayed for three days and was very comfortable every single day. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel next time I'm in the area 🏨"

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport and conveniently close to everything. Imago Shopping Mall is just a 10-minute walk away, and the new Jesselton Point ferry terminal is only 15 minutes on foot, making island hopping incredibly easy without any hassle.
The only minor disappointment was that we didn't get an upgraded room, and the view wasn't particularly great. However, it was wonderfully quiet, with no motorbike noise whatsoever.
I'd read some reviews saying the hotel was old, but I completely disagree – it felt very clean and new, with no strange odors. And let me tell you, the Hyatt's breakfast is amazing! There's a wide variety of options, and everything tastes delicious."

GGuest UserThree days, two nights, and every day brought a new kind of 'excitement.' Day one, the air conditioning didn't work, there were tons of mosquitoes, and the shower only had cold water. The only decent thing for dinner was the fried shrimp, which disappeared in seconds, and the few other dishes available were practically snatched away. It felt like a refugee experience. Day two, we got a different room. After swimming, I went back to shower, and there was no water, then cold water, then extremely hot water, constantly cycling. The water pressure was also incredibly low; I almost lost my mind trying to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. That night, it was very windy, and there was a lot of noise outside, as if something wasn't properly secured. On the third day, as we were checking out, our luggage was mistakenly taken by a staff member and given to other guests. It was only returned after the other guests realized the error. Our luggage was perfectly fine in the restaurant; how dare you just take it away? Do you have any basic management sense? Of course, the environment is nice, that's the only highlight. Given how expensive it was during Chinese New Year, you should provide a service level that matches the price. The buffet was cafeteria-standard, and we still had to fight for food. Are you not ashamed?

HHaf LuqCheck-in process was smooth and the hotel has many good amenities like the pool and gym. Breakfast also had a lot of choices, which was nice.
However, this stay was a bit disappointing. I booked a Deluxe King Room but got a much smaller room than expected. The ironing board cover was too thin and left marks on my clothes while ironing. I was also unhappy because food that I kept in the room was thrown away, and the staff said they couldn’t find it, which was hard to accept since I personally kept it there that morning.
Hopefully the service and experience will improve next time.

Even after checking out, if your flight is in the evening, the hotel still provides an exclusive area for showering, getting water, charging devices, and resting. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The family-friendly amenities are incredibly well-equipped, featuring three large water slides, a kids' slide, and water spray equipment. There's also children's bowling, bubble shows, character interactions, and much more, with different activities every day. They also offer some paid activities for children. The adult and children's pools are well-separated. I had hoped to see the bonfire show, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the weather. For sunset views, you can simply watch from the hotel. The hotel has various restaurants, where you can enjoy a buffet or à la carte dinner. I do hope they can manage the insects in the restaurants, as there were flies during breakfast.

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

BBrendon VI had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, expect the toilet is sharing and it's very dirty!. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location was perfect, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning — one of the highlights of my stay. Everything about this hotel felt high-quality, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

There's a convenience store right downstairs, and it's very close to the pier. The sea breeze was a bit loud at night, but the breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

Room & Facilities: Our outdoor area directly faced the garden and the sea, offering a fantastic view. However, the indoor space was quite cramped, and the facilities were indeed outdated. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. The pool was nice, though.
Food: The breakfast and dinner buffets were very crowded on weekends, and if you went later, some dishes were already gone. The weekday breakfast and dinner experience was much better, and the food actually tasted quite good.
