"Traveling with a friend, we found this hotel very convenient as it's just a short walk from Dobutsuen-mae Station, and Tsutenkaku Tower is right next door. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the check-in process step-by-step. You can pick up any essential toiletries you need near the front desk, while other items like shower gel are provided in the room. There were also plenty of towels and bath towels. The soundproofing was excellent; we barely heard any noise from other guests, and the room was spacious enough to open our 24-inch suitcase. Just be careful in the bathtub as it was a bit slippery."

The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout and every staff member we met was kind, helpful and efficient. Service felt warm without being intrusive.
I saw quite a few comments online saying the rooms are too small, but honestly I think it depends on which room type you book. We checked the room size before booking and found it very acceptable for Osaka standards — spacious enough to open luggage comfortably and move around without feeling cramped.
One of our favourite parts was all the little extras included during the stay — the free late-night noodles every evening were surprisingly good, and the onsen was such a nice way to relax after walking all day. After the bath, there was complimentary ice cream which made the experience even better.
Location is another huge plus — directly across from Dotonbori, within walking distance to Kuromon Market, and very convenient for exploring Namba and nearby areas.
The whole hotel has a calm Japanese ryokan-style atmosphere while still being modern and comfortable.
Would definitely stay again next time in Osaka ❤️"

"Had a great experience! It was really convenient to have the toilet and shower separate. There was absolutely no strange odor in either the room or the bathroom. The entryway light even turned on automatically, so you're not fumbling in the dark when you walk in. What's more, there's a washing machine! With the hot weather, clothes get sweaty after just one day, so being able to wash them anytime was super convenient!!
The room and bedding were very clean. The only thing was quite a few stains on the floor, but I assume those are just accumulated marks from previous guests that are difficult to remove.
As for the location, I personally found it excellent. Right outside the station, there's a huge supermarket. If you're trying to save money, you can buy dinner there and heat it up back in your room. The fridge is also a standard size for one person, with plenty of space for drinks.
I hope I'll have the chance to stay here again next time. Thank you for your hospitality."

"I can understand not being able to open windows but the second window was frosty without being able to see outside.
This hotel does not feel like a Japanese hotel at all. The so called ”sub-manager” with a shiny stone necklace around his neck and no uniform totally ignored my smile as I came back. When I asked if the umbrella was okay to borrow he barely even looked at my direction mumbling something. The staff members do not seem to wear uniforms or professional attire...which collar necklace confirms.
You have a private room but cannot eat or drink in your own room?!! I remember about this happening in Chinese culture countries such as Singapore or Taiwan. Operating company is a ”Singapore” company.. so it makes sense. The sign would not be here if the company operated by a truly Japanese company."

At night, Osaka Bay twinkles with lights, the city's nightscape reflecting beautifully on the water – it’s gorgeous both day and night.

The front desk staff and all other personnel were incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service. When a guest had an unexpected issue late at night, the front desk reacted swiftly and handled it adeptly. The executive lounge's happy hour offered a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, including champagne, and a thoughtful variety of non-alcoholic options too.

Guests have free access to the indoor pool and gym, and there's also an outdoor garden pool and spa. A Lawson convenience store is conveniently located in the hotel's basement – so handy! "This hotel had so many amenities and it was very spacious. You have a walk in kitchen and a designated area for your shoe storage and then the bathroom and shower are separate which is very convenient if you want to shower and someone else needs to do their business. They even have a second door that leads to the main bedroom and then a balcony as well. Biggest hotel room I’ve stayed at in Japan for such a great price. The hotel staff are helpful and it’s about a 8-12 minute walk from nearby train stations. There is also a family mart and Lawson outside. The room also has a washing machine, microwave, fridge and kettle along Edith kitchen stove gas top."

I stayed here for a week with my partner. The room was small for two people but manageable, and the bathroom was clean with good amenities. The main issue was housekeeping — they only came once, leaving us with piles of garbage and lots of dust, which was tough since I have allergies. The AC made a loud noise every 10 minutes when on, though the microwave was handy for quick meals. A big plus was the luggage storage — very useful since we arrived before the 3 PM check-in and
left after the 11 AM check-out. For the price, it was acceptable, but cleanliness and comfort need improvement."

AAnonymous UserComing from Kansai Airport, you do have to transfer a few times on the subway. However, the hotel is very close to Juso Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Juso Station has a food street, so dining is super convenient! It's not crowded around at night, so sleeping is very, very quiet! There's a convenience store at the intersection, and Don Quijote is just across the main road! There's also Daikoku Drugstore nearby! Although breakfast is simple, it changes a bit every day, which shows a lot of thought. You'll definitely be full and satisfied! The lobby also has vending machines with beer, drinks, and ice cream! All your normal needs can be met here! Personally, I think even though the location is a little out of the way, it makes up for it in value for money, and transferring subways is still very convenient~

YYupingWe chose this hotel for our trip to Universal Studios, and it's conveniently located not far from the park entrance, making coming and going very easy. There are plenty of dining options nearby, as well as Universal Studios merchandise stores. The day we arrived happened to be a Japanese holiday, so it was incredibly crowded. Check-in started at 3 PM, and we had to wait in line for a long time. The hotel is quite large and even has a Family Mart convenience store inside, which was great since we didn't book breakfast. We booked a city view room, but the front desk gave us a room on the 4th floor, so there was basically no view outside the window. For Japan, the room was quite spacious. Overall, it was convenient for accessing Universal Studios.

AAhwuWhat we found especially charming was that all the amenities were displayed in the lobby and were free for guests to take. They had everything you could possibly need—even face masks, which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere felt more like a modern student accommodation than a traditional hotel, which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly, the rooftop bar was fantastic, and bike rentals were available. They also had a cafeteria-style common area with a coffee machine, microwaves, and water dispensers, making it the perfect place to enjoy food from the convenience store. Overall, it was a 10/10 stay, and we'd happily stay here again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right in front of Dotonbori Street, but it's not a noisy area. There are convenience stores like Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk (1km) from Namba Station, which is manageable when coming from the airport. The bathroom was clean. Free breakfast includes bread, drinks, and coffee. The coffee was absolutely delicious! Amenities are self-service on the first floor. You need to request new towels daily. Room cleaning is done once every three nights. The room itself is small, but having experienced even smaller rooms before, this size was acceptable.

GGuest UserThis is the largest, most scenic, and most convenient hotel I've stayed at in all my trips to Japan. From the second floor, turn left and walk 20 meters to the subway 🚇, or walk straight for 100 meters to the outlet mall. There are plenty of places to eat and shop 🛍️ nearby, which is super convenient! The hotel also offers free luggage storage. I booked a family room, which had separate inner and outer sections. It came with two 1.4-meter beds and a sofa bed that was about 1.5 meters wide. My family of four loved our stay! We were on the 21st floor, and the 180-degree night view of Osaka from our window was absolutely stunning!

GGuest UserLocation: If you're coming from Kansai Airport, taking the Nankai Rapid Express to Namba and then dragging your luggage to the hotel is a bit of a trek, about 1km I'd say? I heard taking the bus is better. But the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Just 100 meters outside, you're in the busiest area of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Every day after exploring, you can just step downstairs and enjoy all sorts of delicious food.
Room: The room isn't huge, but I could half-open my 28-inch suitcase. Although it's a bit older, it's very clean! The only issue is that the curtains don't block out the light completely, so I was woken up by the sunlight in the morning. I should have worn an eye mask.
Breakfast: It's alright, enough to fill you up. If you're rushing out to explore every day, it's worth booking. The restaurant isn't very big and can get crowded sometimes. A big plus is that children under 12 eat for free!
Service: My room was right opposite the linen room, but I stayed for 3 nights and didn't hear a single sound from the staff, which was impressive! I couldn't use WeChat Pay for the washing machine, so I called the front desk to complain. To my surprise, a staff member proactively came to my room to help me operate it. When it still didn't work, they went back and forth to help me resolve the issue.
Surroundings: Many reviews mentioned the red-light district at night. I also brought my 12-year-old daughter, and we came back very late every night, but we found it to be fine. This area is very lively; there are still many people out and about at midnight. You can find places like a century-old oden stand and the popular white chicken broth ramen, as well as convenience stores and Don Quijote. I'm very satisfied!
Downside: There are too few washing machines.

XXiaonengtwAn absolutely wonderful stay! The location is fantastic, right next to Exit 1A of Yotsubashi Station, and just a few minutes' walk straight to Shinsaibashi Station. It's incredibly convenient for transport yet surprisingly quiet. There's a Torikizoku right opposite, so dining options are great. While the room wasn't huge, there was more than enough space to open two suitcases. All the facilities were excellent, and the shower drainage was incredible – no matter how strong the water pressure, not a single drop overflowed! The breakfast was exquisite, with a great variety, and they refilled dishes very promptly. The front desk service was attentive and thoughtful; when I had a small issue, a front desk attendant arrived at my room within a minute, even though it was almost 1 AM. I'm very grateful for their help! Highly recommend!

YyxineI stayed for a night in this hostel recently when I needed to catch an early ride to the airport from the train station. The location is superbly central and also easy to find thanks to the giant strawberry above the entrance.
The dorm environment was quiet during my stay here and everything was very clean. The aircon was cold but the warm comforter ensured a great night’s sleep. Both shampoo and bath gel are available in the shower room and after staying in about ten different hotels and hostels during my trip, I must say that the scent of the gel here is my favourite!
The dormitories is located on the third floor with no elevators so it may be daunting for the physically dis-inclined, especially after a typical long day of walking everywhere in Japan. All in all, I’d give this hostel 5 stars for it’s high ‘CP value’.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right outside the JR station and a 5-minute walk from Universal Studios Japan's entrance. There's a convenience store and shops downstairs – a perfect choice. We even went back to the hotel to rest when it got too hot at Universal Studios, then re-entered in the evening to continue the fun. After a long day of walking, a relaxing bath and soak at the top floor spa in the evening was exactly what we needed to unwind. Everything was perfect, except for the crowds – too many people at breakfast and in the showers.
