Nest Hotel Kumamoto

Perfect location. Next to the bus terminal. Close to the business district so have good access to food and shipping. But parking fee is a bit expensive. It was said to be 1000 Yen but I was charged 1100 and 1400 Yen respectively.

I recently stayed at a super new hotel in Kumamoto, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. The hotel is just a short walk away from bustling shopping areas, so it’s easy to explore local boutiques, malls, and cafes. Plus, the famous tonkatsu restaurant is just around the corner, which was a big highlight of my stay. If you’re a fan of this iconic Japanese dish, you’ll love how close it is! One of the best features of this hotel is the parking. It’s easy to access and very convenient, especially in a busy city like Kumamoto where parking can be a hassle. The hotel itself is super modern and well-maintained, with sleek, contemporary design and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and professional, ensuring a smooth check-in and offering helpful tips about the area. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this hotel’s location and convenience make it an excellent choice. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Kumamoto!

Has a great stay and will be back. The hotel is conveniently situated on top of the shopping mall and next to train station. Parking is just in b1 and the hotel will give you discount when parking in b1 which cost only 1.000 yen for overnight parking. The room is nice and super comfy to stay. The staffs are all so attentive and friendly.
Ryokan Yumotosou

Very pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western). Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped. From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

Check-in was not smooth. First, the staff said they couldn't find our reservation record, and then they said they had found it. When we had helped the children to take a shower in the room, the staff knocked on the door with another guest and said they gave us the wrong room, so We packed our luggage, went to the lobby to go through the formalities, and then went to the correct room. It took a while... Other aspects were actually good, with complete facilities, a powerful air dryer, and a washing machine.
KAMENOI HOTEL ASO
4.4/5299 Reviews
I recently stayed at a wonderful hotel in Aso, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—nestled in the heart of Aso’s beautiful nature, with breathtaking views right from the room. The hotel’s onsen was a highlight, offering a relaxing and peaceful way to soak in the scenery. The food was also incredible, with delicious local dishes that really captured the flavors of the region. The vibes throughout the hotel were warm and cozy, making it feel like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The only downside was that the bed was a bit small for two people, so it felt a little tight. But everything else more than made up for it. The hotel also offers plenty of parking, so getting around was easy. The price was definitely reasonable for the experience, and given the amazing views, great food, and tranquil onsen, it felt like a great value. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Aso!
