Touched and fled at Umbria Jazz:A very well-kept hotel, very small single room but clean and comfortable, abundant breakfast. Located in the municipality of Ponte San Giovanni, 8 minutes by car from the center of Perugia. I didn't get the pool to try, I think I was satisfied. Ps:For Umbria Jazz's week, it would be useful to provide a shipping service even for payment (have a shipping service in the parking). Other hotels already do it and would just have 4/5 races per day to give a top service.

We we're atleast 7 time in Italy, North and South parts of it, but never stay in such a nice hotel like this one!! Room size great. Bathroom size perfect. Clean and shine. Staff very very nice. Stayed there 3 nights,and loved it. For sure coming back!!

Excellent village, available and educated staff. Excellent breakfast. Spacious and clean rooms. Distance 200mt from the lake also accessible to foot. Clean and spacious swimming pool. Offered outdoor activities with basketball, football and tennis fields. For the smallest soft animation. Bike rental and mini markets inside.

Not a charming or boutique hotel while a very spacious and well equipped one, with kind and complete service to make the stay thoughtless and pleasant. Very close to the Church and center and with numerous restaurants also in the hotel. Large parking area. Nice bar. Also a good basis to visit the area around (we went to Castelluccio form the blossom). Rooms have full equipment and triple rooms are really so, with two rooms inside

An absolutely wonderful experience. You can feel the medieval vibe yet the accommodations are charming and modern. The staff were most welcoming and the restaurant breakfasts were delicious. The location is lovely and situated on a hill with breathtaking views. Nearby are easy hikes, cute towns and a beautiful stream. All in all a very magical experience.

Abbiamo soggiornato per quattro giorni all’Hotel Moderno. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. È un hotel a conduzione familiare ubicato in un’ottima posizione di fronte alla stazione di Santa Maria degli Angeli, posizione strategica e agevole perché di fronte alla fermata del pullman per visitare Assisi e a pochi passi dalla Porziuncola. Inoltre l’albergo è dotato di un parcheggio per chi viene in automobile. Noi abbiamo pernottato nella Camera quadrupla Superior: la camera rispecchia a pieno le fotografie visibili sul sito dell’albergo. La camera è pulitissima, ampia, nuova confortevole e appena ristrutturata, inoltre presenta un ampio terrazzo con tavolino e sedie. La colazione è fatta con torte, croissant e dolci fatti in casa senza lattosio e burro (torta con gocce di cioccato, torta con arancia e pistacchio, torta con cioccolato e cocco, torta con le mele, torta con le pere, crostata all’ albicocca o alla ciliegia, kraften, fagottini farciti…), inoltre a colazione ci sono prodotti di marca e di qualità. La cena presenta un menù tipico umbro (consigliamo gli strangozzi con salsicce di Norcia, tartufo e panna) con prodotti di qualità; il menù è composto da un primo e secondo a scelta, contorno del giorno e dolce o macedonia di frutta, in più acqua e vino locale. Il personale è cortese, gentile e sempre a disposizione del cliente. L’Hotel Moderno è super consigliato per un soggiorno nella città di San Francesco. Famiglia Tutino!

This review is actually difficult to write. The property itself is located at a beautiful location. With that being said, the staff are not genuine and do not enforce ”rules” consistently nor with any rhyme or reason. For instance we went down to the spa area to get a tour of what we could experience. We were not wearing the issued spa shoes, so we were not given a tour. Not even offered to use some spa shoes due to ours being in our room. Yet when we were in the spa for a pool visit, we saw no less than 3 couples being shown around wearing regular street shoes. Also people are not supposed to be talking on their phones or listening to audible music. At least two guests were when we were at the pool. Overall the spa is severely overpriced and overly hyped. Quite frankly it's not impressive. Along the lines of rules, men are are supposed to wear pants in the restaurant at dinner, yet I saw men wearing shorts. Also once again people were chatting on their phones. The breakfast was good, but dinner was a huge disappointment. We ate dinner twice. The food was indeed presented well. But the taste was lacking. During a four course dinner, my appetizer of fried cod was essentially room temperature as if it was cooked 10-15 min earlier. It was not of good quality taste either. The rest of my ”hot” food for the 1st and 2nd courses were also NOT hot. My ravioli were warm at best. For my 2nd course only part of my pork dish was actually hot. And staff NEVER checked to see if the food was prepared properly or to your liking. My wife's one course was barely touched, not a single question was asked. Also we weren't even offered a wine list! we were shocked!!!!!!!!! The portion sizes are extremely small and over priced. One morning there was NO hot water. Called the front desk, they had someone to find what the problem was. Once it was fixed about 90 minutes later, they never called us to let us know. For the price we paid for the room ,they could've at least called us to let us know we had hot water again. They charge a flat fee of 30 Euros to charge an electric car each time. Our rental car was a plug in hybrid that had a small battery which could charge rather quickly. There was a language barrier. I was under the impression the fee to use the charger would be only 30 euros for our entire stay due to the battery not being for a fully electric car. That is not the case. Even for a fully electric vehicle, paying 30 euros is way too pricey. Depending where your room is located you have a long walk up or down ad very long walkway that is NOT level. IT's actually on a fairly steep incline/decline. Upon checkout they sent the person to help load bags to the wrong part of the hotel two times. I will discuss the staff last. The staff here pretends to act friendly. They seem very uptight and not at all genuine. Our entire stay here we did not feel like we could relax. Our room was small and full of antique furniture that made the environment even more sharp and tight. Note that the restaurant service was not active within the structure (the lack of correctly reported in the booking phase ) We would have wanted to report these problems to the property but in the check-out phase (possible only after the 9.) There was only the cleaning lady we thank for kindness and availability We also thank the boy at the reception for the kindness and availability Conclusion, the place has great potential but should be maintained better.

First the positives......location. Now the negatives... Avoid Room 50 llike the plague. We had booked a superior double room and were pleasantly surprised to be allocated Room 50 with all it's grandeur, until that is one of us went to the shower. Only to find that the bathroom flooded to almost Biblical proportions !!! No amount of trying to mop up the water with spare towels worked. Response from the Front of House member of staff was to provide more towels, and an explanation of how a previous guest had accidentally broken one of the glass panes in the shower screen (which given it's appearance and condition had clearly been there for a good twenty years or more) which he claimed had been repaired,but that the problem persisted and that staff were aware of this.!!! His solution to the issue was to say ”I can't do anything now,we'll deal with it tomorrow” Our reply was that this situation was unacceptable and could we please be moved to another room. Reluctantly he agreed to our request and allocated us Room122. We had booked for three nights, for the remainder of our stay we had quite a frosty reception every time we encountered the said member of staff. On checking out and paying the bill with a credit card a most unusual thing happened. The Front of House staff member on duty that morning asked for payment of the City Tourist Tax in cash. In all our years of travelling in Europe and paying various city taxes we have never been asked for cash payment when using cards.Hmmm? La Rosetta did not live up to expectations, breakfast was average and the coffee from the machine was dreadful. Italian guests must be appalled with it. We wished we had stuck with our first initial choice and gone with La Fortuna around the corner.

There are very few reviews on Ctrip's foreign hotels. Although the speed of updating room availability is very slow, I often receive information after booking that the room is full, but the price seems to be the same. The hotel is on the mountain, some distance from the attractions, but it's just a walk away. Compared with Rome, the room is very big and the price is cheap. The rooms are all early, breakfast is quite simple, there is not much to eat.

If you’re looking for a relaxing slice of heaven in Assisi, then this is the place. We stayed here for 1 night while on a tour in 2018 and have been wanting to return for a longer stay ever since. With an amazing view of the valley, our room was clean and had plenty of room for 3 of us. The family who runs the property are helpful, sweet and friendly. The location is beautiful, a five minute walk to Basilica San Francesco or to the main piazza.

No kettle, tea, coffee packs in room. But can try asking. Assisi is a worthwhile place to explore - take bus by buying from shop ( tobacconist?) 1.30 euro to go up to the top. Then explore various places as you go downhill.

This hotel has a great location as it is walking distance to all main hallmarks of Assisi, however the magic was soon demolished by the horrific customer service provided by Tiziana, I was checking out and she wanted to double charge me for a lunch already paid, I had to show her my bank statement via my bank application to avoid a second transaction, how she handled the situation was pitiful, and made that experience so nasty that never coming back here. Always keep your receipts because if you run into her you better have ready a prove of all payments, she is rude and lack of manners, when I called an hour later to get her name a man named Giuseppe picked up the phone and when I asked who runs this restaurant to express my disapproval on how the’re managing clients accounts he was hesitant to provide any information, first he said that Elena is the boss, then changed the name for Manuala, when I asked for a contact # to communicate with one of those names mentioned, he refused and finished the call, when I call back he kept Doing the same blaming it all on bad connection. Very rude person, sadly! The behavior of these two Giuseppe and Tiziana needs serious attention, the way they treat guests is very poor, classless, and unprofessional.

Central, modern hotel in a very old building. Reasonable choice at breakfast. No lift and there were 5 flights of stairs to our room. The room initially LOOKED very good, recently renovated, everything white, comfortable bed - however..... there was no chair, just a stool and a bench or the bed. It was very warm for March, so we wanted a cool room but the air conditioning was centrally controlled and temperature couldn't be reduced (even by the staff). The shower, which had a clear glass door - so absolutely NO privacy - was in the corner of the bedroom and as the shower drenched everything inside (the control to change from overhead to handheld shower didn't work), including the towel rack, there was nowhere to have a dry towel, except outside the shower, so you had to dry yourself outside the shower. There were 3 steep tiled steps, down into the bedroom - SO dangerous! The toilet and sink were in a separate small room on the other side of the bedroom (the toilet roll holder was coming away from wall). The room looked out onto a dirty courtyard, with a washing machine and air conditioning units, and there was a distinct smell of 'drains' after using the shower. We stayed 2 nights, if it had been any longer, we would have asked to move to another room. This was an expensive hotel, but there were no tissues in the room and not even a bottle of water provided, I would not stay here again.

I stayed for Umbria jazz and was amazing all the staff..the room...faboulus breakfast...so clean so quiet!! There a plus ..the bus that tales you for free to Santa Giuliana Arena for concerts and back every hour from 5 p.m. and back every hour too..in the same plaza you take the elevator for center so this bus is a great great thing!! So nice!!!

We spent 12 days in Umbria and used Perugia as our home base. This lovely hotel is about 10 minutes from the center of Perugia. You must have a rental car to stay here as the bus rarely comes by and it is not within walking distance of Perugia center. We had a car so no issues for us, There is excellent on site free parking. The hotel is wonderful. Big thanks to the fabulous Jessica and Aymen at the front desk! They helped us every day and made dinner reservations for us several times. They were always warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and lovely. The shower is small, but typical for Europe. The buffet breakfast included in the room rate is phenomenal. There is nothing they have not thought of to serve!! The staff at breakfast are also absolutely lovely. We had a wonderful time at this hotel!! Highly recommend.

Large comfortable bed and room with ensuite - great breakfast service and good gym and pool on lower floor. There was a lovely terrace downstairs you could have drinks on was just a bit too wet and cold when we were there. Situated not far from the escalators up to the town

Nice structure. nice staff. There are adequate services. However, full outdoor parking Saturday night due to the restaurant's customers so much that they can't park. In addition, when we arrived the room was cold: I think if guests arrive, the environment must be prepared to be comfortable (and this also takes into account the hotel level and the costs). The spa with heated swimming pool, sauna and very nice Turkish bathroom (pay).
