"Frustrating Experience: Reservation Confusion Rating: My recent stay was marred by an incredibly unprofessional check-in experience. Despite having a fully prepaid reservation, the front desk staff had absolutely no record of my booking upon arrival. Instead of efficiently resolving the issue, the staff repeatedly insisted that I pay for the room again, despite my clear explanation and proof of prior payment. It was frustrating and exhausting to have to argue my case after a long journey. While the property may have potential, the lack of organization and poor customer service at the front desk completely soured the experience. I would strongly advise confirming your reservation multiple times before arrival or choosing a more reliable establishment."

Was okay- first night was predominantly old men- pretty sure one was doing some NSFW activities in the bunk under me Second night was predominantly females which I loved- was clean and beds were super comfy  I’d say get a top bunk (makes u feel safer n slay!)  Would stay again but probs all girls room"

"We got the last availability so perhaps our downstair room wasn't the best but it has well renovated bathroom and overall the hotel is very well maintained and clean. Awesome room service. I wish there was a little fridge included. The bed cover was very hot and no thin linen available (just the big bed cover). No facecloth but I guess it's typical in Ireland? Coffee corner not always open and no coffee at night (after 10pm for exemple). But the staff is always friendly and very helpful. I would book again without hesitation."

"I booked this hotel the night before boarding the ferry at Dublin Port. Found the location good and amenities met my needs. There is a bar restaurant that sometimes gets busy so booking could be a good idea."

"This hotel was the most satisfying booking of our trip. It's located right in the city center, and you can catch a bus right outside to Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse. The Aircoach stop is just across the street from the hotel entrance, so getting around is incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are pretty good, clean and tidy. There are no bottled water in the room, but you can find purified water and an ice machine by the elevators on each floor. Even though it's not bottled water, it was the best-tasting water we had on this trip; I always find other bottled mineral water to have a strange taste."

"1. **Location** There's a place with a similar name around here, so if you just put in the name and follow the map, you might end up at a different hotel. Make sure to input the exact address to find the accommodation. 2. **Luggage Storage Issue for Guests Staying in Different Rooms for Consecutive Nights** I want to share an inconvenient experience I had staying two consecutive nights in different rooms. I initially booked for one night, but my plans changed, and I wanted to extend my stay in the same place. However, I was told I had to book a different room. After my first night, I was told I had to check out at 11 AM and then check into my new room at 3 PM. During that interim, if I wanted to store my luggage, I'd have to pay 8 euros per locker. Since I needed three lockers, and to avoid the locker fees, I was told I wouldn't have to pay if I stayed on the premises. So, I spent that time doing laundry. It's a huge regret that I was tied to the accommodation from 11 AM to 3 PM and missed out on exploring the many museums in Dublin before I left. I don't think I was the only guest who booked one night and then had to book a different room for the next. The luggage storage issue for consecutive night guests seems to need improvement. Perhaps gaining a reputation for better guest care is more beneficial than trying to earn money from luggage storage. The reception desk staff, perhaps due to the size of the accommodation, only cited rules and didn't seem willing to help. 3. **Minor Inconveniences** Given the name 'Chapel Experience Room,' I assumed, like most accommodations without elevators, that it wouldn't be on the second or third floor when I booked. But alas! I had to navigate a maze of complex stairs, going up and down, to find my room. 4. **Good Points** It was great that breakfast was included. The staff preparing breakfast were kind and very diligent, which I appreciated. Although the menu only consisted of bread, cereal, and fruit, it was plentiful, which was nice. Even though it was instant coffee, it was great to be able to have coffee anytime, and milk was also available in the fridge. Having a kitchen area where you can prepare your own food anytime is also a big plus. 5. The restrooms and showers were very clean and well-maintained. 6. Even though there were over 20 beds in one room, perhaps because everyone was considerate of each other, I was able to stay without being disturbed."

"The friend was uncomfortable, and he asked for water at the reception, gave a vomiting bag, and personally sent the ice up. Thanks for their care, we are all very fortunate to have a good care here! !"

"Very good location to get in from the airport and for the convention center that I was visiting for work. I enjoyed the hotel, which had good facilities, helpful staff and was great value compared to others we looked at."

"The Samuel Hotel was generally good. It's about 25 minutes (slow) but pleasant walk along the river from the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, their internal communication needs to be imrpoved. Our luggage (2 bags) had been delayed due to the flights. We had informed the front desk staff that the luggage should be arriving a day after our arrival (and to be delivered by the airline contracted courier). Apparently, delivery of our bags were arranged at different times on the following day. We received one bag, but the other was missing. To cut the story short, the second bag was rejected by the front desk staff when it was delivered later to the hotel as they could not find my name (registered for the hotel booking) !! But wait, why was the first bag accepted by the staff ??? I should have gone to the airport immediately and directly and get the bag myself, instead of contacting the courier, who stated that they would ”TRY”to redeliver it to the hotel again, which they never did ! ! So, I had to wait for two more daysuntil I finally decided to go to the airport myself and collect my bag. I made a complaint to the shift duty manager of the hotel about the handling of the case. In compensation, the manager offered a dinner for two, and taxi service paid by the hotel. Ratings for the hotel should have been higher if only for this unhappy experience."
