"Everything is good except the bed sheet, it kept slipping off after sleeping in.  It's a flat sheet too small to tie down on the edge and corners.  We asked the staff for help and we tried to do it ourselves but it was not fixable because the flat sheet is just too small to secure the bed coverage.  The staff members are super friendly and they do try their best to help you.  The spa in the hotel is also great.  Overall the experience is beyond expectations.  The location is also great and safe.  "

"Excellent stay, excellent dinner, excellent spa experience and breakfast buffet that is second to none! The Mecure really do know how to provide a great customer experience and every single staff member is courteous, polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are enormous and if you are lucky enough to get a courtyard one, your eyes are in for a treat. Sue and Lucy in the spa are marvellous and even the chambermaid staff, especially Deborah worked with a smile and was helpful with directions. If you stay in a courtyard room you will understand why directions are needed. 😀. All in all I had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day stay!"

"Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. We upgraded to executive room that was nice but the view out the back wasn’t too great but didn’t spoil anything. We had lovely night away. Food is good the weather was amazing and the gardens are nice to sit out. Couldn’t get into the therapy rooms for massage as they were fully booked but we did only book to go to the hotel a few days prior to going. Pool areas are clean"

"The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. "I come here regular. Me and my son he 18 iseverely autistic and needs routine structure .the staff is always friendly from reception to the catering housekeeping etc . Can’t fault anybody. However this time my experience was awful from start to finish. My bedside table had somebodies wash bag with there underwear in it . The bath wasn’t clean had hair inside it and over the toilet and bathroom floor . There was no towels in my bedroom. The worst part was around midnight there was a very loud disturbance outside my room. Which woke my son up too . As he hears 10 times the volume. I could hear a drunk couple fighting pushing shoving shouting . Until I heard a glass break. That’s when I had to get out of bed and call the reception. It wasn’t a nice feeling as I felt scared and vulnerable. Then if that wasn’t bad being up most of the night trying to settle my son back to sleep till 3 am. Thr housekeeping started knocking on my door at 9 am."

Fabulous stay at the Best Western Carlton in Blackpool. The staff could not have done more to help, and the lady on the front desk was so friendly and chatty. They helped immediately when they realised I had a pram, toddler and 2 bags and was alone - even changing our room to make things easier. Lovely people! Only downside was the thin walls, meaning we could hear every word of the 4am argument in the room next door!!

The hotel appears somewhat outdated. The bathroom is compact and had a noticeable black stain on the tiles and some area , and the bedroom is also relatively small. Despite these shortcomings, the meal was really enjoyable.

The Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

Bluewaters Hotel Blackpool

A stay to remember… for better and worse I’ll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly—they made me feel like I’d wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My room’s curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not ideal—especially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside. The leisure facilities didn’t fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didn’t feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as I’d been looking forward to a relaxing dip. Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous night’s menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable. In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refresh—both in decor and dining. If you’re coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If you’re after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere.

Loved our stay at the imperial hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Room was cleaned before returning every night. Fresh towels and toiletries re stocked along with tea and biscuits. We stayed for 3 nights me the misses and our 2 children and loved every minute of it we will be back. If I had to be nit picky the hotel catering more for the older generation with not much for the kids to do. But we was out all day so didn't really matter. When we got back she still bopped aways to the 80s music dancing of the dance floor 🤣 oh and we could see the tower from our window
