Amazing Hostel/Hotel. The room was super spacious for a private twin bedroom, huge bathroom and super tidy and clean. Staff were inviting and informative. Kitchen facilities were great, however no oven. A few more utensils would have been great. Met some amazing travellers in common area. Didn't check out bar or restaurant as I was out most of the day/evening. Only negative was the hill to walk up from the city centre. But that is only a Minor negative

In room hair dryer not working, the reception lady gave me another portable hair dryer, solve the problem very efficiency.

15min walk from Lyon Part Dieu. Due to construction works, walking and dragging luggage became challenging and not as direct. There was a huge Westfield Mall where you can shop and dine. 10min walk to car rental office. There was a pickup area for us to load up luggage to our rental car just beside the hotel. Check-in process was a bliss. Staff was friendly. Sanitisers were always available. Room was relatively much smaller than Paris hotel. Barely enough space for 2x large luggage. Nevertheless, room was clean and dust-free. Toilet had decent space. Recommended for as a stopover hotel. Probably a night stay.

Very nice hotel, the rooms are spacious and the beds are a good size and very comfortable. We had dinner at the Pampa hotel restaurant, and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet is also very varied. We dealt with Jack at reception, very professional 👍

Hotel Charlemagne is a great hotel. The location was in an esplanade district directly in the route of all public transport. We took a tram to the train station, and the bus to the tourist sites- direct route. There is plenty to eat in the area, with a mall about a 10 min walk. Across the street is a self service all included laundry, very helpful for long trips. Some restaurants in the area close outside the peak hours- mostly 3-6. The staff was very friendly and the bar tender made a great mojito.

The receptionist (the manager I think) was very friendly and understandable... the room is correct and well proportioned.

Petit hôtel très sympathique, sans prétention, mais très honnete, bien pensé, bien décoré et aux espaces efficacement optimisés et d’excellent rapport qualité/prix avec un petit dej avec des viennoiseries de qualité, ainsi que du bon pain frais, même si une offre un peu plus étendu en salé serait appréciable. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et arrangeant . Les « tintins et Astérix » gracieusement prêtés par l’établissement achèveront de vous endormir en douceur.

I recently stayed at the Eklo Lyon hotel and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-maintained, with a modern and stylish decor that creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. But what really stood out to me was the friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely welcoming and eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Lyon, with the Tram conveniently located right in front of the hotel. This makes it incredibly easy to get to the city center and explore all that Lyon has to offer. Additionally, the hotel has a great vibe, with a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The breakfast at the hotel was also a highlight. There were plenty of options available, with something to suit every taste. From fresh pastries to eggs, everything was delicious and well-prepared. Overall, I highly recommend the Eklo Lyon hotel. The combination of its clean and comfortable rooms, convenient location, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast make it a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Lyon.

A relatively new hotel with complete facilities, parking and convenient location. The service is average. We arrived at 2pm, but the front desk staff didn't even look up or check the system and said that we could only check in at 4pm. I understand that 4pm is a hard standard for check-in, regardless of whether there is a room or not. I don't understand this. In addition, the room assigned by the hotel is the worst among the same type. It's either a coincidence or it's not friendly to Ctrip users. When booking, I noted that I wanted a twin bed, but I was only given a king bed. Negotiations with the front desk were fruitless.

The hotel is located near a large hospital , not too far from the centre . A paying parking is located nearby , as well as a nice cooking store making the breakfast we prefer to the cheaper hotel in a sweet environment . We will certainly return to it when we pass through this city. However, the hospital in front can receive on its roof helicopters of emergency services , in this case it can not be very noisy even if the insonorization evaporates much of the noise.

Location was perfect to explore the central part of Lyon. Breakfast buffet was great (fresh fruit, pastries, cereals/granola), not sure about the cooked food because we didn’t try it. beautiful setting. The food with room service was only ok, possibly because compared to the rest of Lyon it wasn’t as incredible, and possibly because the restaurant was undergoing renovations so it was not at full capacity. The spa was small but manageable because we needed to book the time (preventing too many people in there at once). The floors were very slippery and my partner hit his head - I think this needs to be fixed (we were not the only ones slipping everywhere when the floor was wet).

I have to explain patiently, and many problems can be solved. I sincerely thank the young lady and master at the front desk, thank you very much.

We stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour. The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day. We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

The rooms are quite large - by any standard and especially French standards. The space was also very well utilized. The bathroom was similarly large and well laid out. The location is excellent - near the rivers and lots of tourist areas. It's an expensive area but that's not unexpected. The wifi was good and the A/C worked well. The airport is outside the city so it costs about 50-60€ each way. The property was very quiet. They did a nice job insulating the windows to block traffic noise. Bottom line, I would absolutely return.

First some context: We are benchmarking our review based on stays at some of the premier properties around the world; Claridges in London, Peninsula in Hong Kong, Beau Rivage in Geneva. The Mont Blanc is easily in this category. Room: Met our expectations: Extraordinarily clean - good smellies - comfortable bed Food: Exceeded our expectations: Breakfast was plentiful and of great variety. Dinner at the hotel was among the best meals we have ever had. Great presentation and taste. Service Far exceeded our expectations: This is where MB really shines. From before our arrival, extremely responsive with emails. The staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. No request too large or small. A special call out to: Arnaud Cecile Marieke Enzo Fleurial These folks(along with housekeeping and the entire staff) are among the best we have ever encountered. Just book here, you will not be sorry!

At a guess, we have stayed at this Hotel 8-10 times over the past years. I am sorry to say that after our last experience, we will never stay there again. As a 5 Star Hotel, it was slipshod and dissappointing. On arrival, at 16.45 there was nobody on the Reception Desk, but there was a sign which said ” There is nobody on Reception at present, please take a seat and wait ! There is still construction works going on at the adjacent ****** and there are now only 4 parking spaces for guests. which includes one for disabled and one for electric car charging. The only parking is an unattended open car park some 800 metres from the Hotel and I was not prepared to leave a £200,000 car loaded with luggage, laptops, phones and personal items there. The Receptionist agreed that I could occupy a disabled person's bay on the proviso that he could move it if required. The suite on the mezzanine floor was fine apart from the following;_ - Only 5 TV channels none English. - No Notepad or pen. - No list of Telephone numbers to call reception or room service. - Ony 2 towels for 3 persons, when charged extra for 16 year old granddaughter to stay in the suite. Same for Glasses, cups, Tea bags milk. Just 2 for 3 persons. - The Wifi was awful and kept logging you off. Later found out that you could log in using any old name name and email address you cared to enter ! _ One Loo roll ,part used and no spare. - A Huge Stag Beetle was discovered on the sofa and at that point we had not opened the doors to the balcony. We were aware that the main Restaurant would be closed on the Tuesday that we arrived ,but shortly before we left England I received an email that room service would not be available either but we could have a cold meal in our room.Oh well onwards and upwards ! The cold meal turned out to be a choice between smoked salmon, cheese or cold meats each served with bread and butter. No desserts, not even Ice cream. Anyway, we opted for 2 salmon and 1 cheese. After a long wait, the receptionist knocked on the door with the salmon and cheese and a basket of bread which he had himself prepared and it comprised a single baguette cut up into slices and 3 pats of butter. The salmon was just as if it has come out of a packet and there were 6 miserable slices of 3 different cheeses. The cost for this gastronomic extravaganza was €127.00 which included Room service and a warm bottle of white wine( No Ice bucket either). Total cost for a nights stopover with breakfast with hard sausage and rubber bacon was €603.60. Sorry Pavillon, don't expect to see me again.

We have recently visited the BB hotel and to summarise, were a little disappointed with our stay. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a queue of 6 people ahead of us with only one member of staff taking care of customers, not an ideal start to the five star experience. Once we checked into our room, the room itself was very new and stylish, clean and tidy with amazing views of the lake, the bed and bathrooms are also brilliant. The pool has an exquisite lakeside location. Sadly from here, we were a little frustrated with the running of the hotel. Small things like bike hire being €60 per person per day… this is a 5* hotel.. this didn’t sit well with us, we spent over €300 on bike hire in the duration of our stay…. Couldn’t some bikes be included? Future guests should note that there aren’t any taxis or Ubers here, it’s also way too far to walk into Annecy. If you don’t bring your own, or hire a bike, I’m afraid you are stranded at this hotel unless you drive. Two paddleboards are available for hire, but again, for €20 per hour when they can be rented for half the price down the lane by the lake side. Embarrassing, profiteering from your paying guests! Could free use of these board be a perk of staying at this hotel?! Security and access was also a little worrying, although Annecy is a lovely place, most nights we walked from the lake path right to our hotel room door without actually seeing a single other person or member of staff. There seems to be a security gate however, during our 4 night stay we didn’t see it closed once. Lake access can also be challenging - a private pontoon is advertised however this was commonly occupied by young locals surrounded by bottles of wine. Again, not really the 5 star experience we’d hoped for conveyed by images on the website. Instead, we were lay on grass by a busy cycle path with locals and other holiday makers from surrounding areas. Overall, the location was great and we will visit annecy again, sadly, not the Black Bass Hotel.

Very nice wooden hotel, very historical, the service staff is very nice, to help bring things to the room for introduction, also sent us honeymoon champagne and a fine snack. Breakfast is also great, the restaurant is Michelin two stars. Not many people have limited rooms, it is a very French fine hotel.

On the hill, the hotel overlooks the old town and the main church, and the scenery is breathtaking. The breakfast is very good, the variety is rich, the fruit is very fresh, and the outdoor dining environment is equally satisfying. The hotel’s Michelin restaurant is also very good, with a historic and historic location in the heart of the city. The outdoor swimming pool is also very beautiful, and you can take a look at the night in the night to enjoy the real night! Every day, I have to climb a high ladder back to the hotel, so tired, oh, oh

The front desk staff was only too happy to open the door to greet you, they are located in their own cozy corner on the ground floor, rather spartan because everything else - bar, breakfast spot, cocktail lounge - is up the stairs. The hotel may look deceptively quiet but we have stayed in such places where you feel like you have the whole place to yourself, when actually, it does have other hotel guests. Perched on the ancient Fourviere hills and two minutes down the slope from the Roman amphitheatre, the location is within walking distance to the Notre Dame as well as the funicular down to Vieux Lyon. The pool is really relaxing after a whole day of exploring the walking city, and has a fabulous spa of steam and sauna and massage services (book ahead). We checked in slightly earlier and were redirected to the cafe with a wide view of the city and rivers. Food was excellent. The concierge team is very friendly - Francois, Julien and Alvaro can quickly suggest and advise and research for you. Francois sorted out a dinner reservation for me where I had booked the wrong date and purchased extra meal vouchers. A really lovely time, we are telling everyone to go to Lyon now.
