Stayed here at the end of August for 5 nights. Hotel is in a brilliant location. 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia also a 2 minute walk from the hop on hop off buses around the city. The staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I left my Apple Watch in the hotel and only realised when I had got through security at the airport. I rang the hotel and they found my watch in the room and helped me return it to myself which I am very grateful for. The room was cleaned every day while we were out. For the cost of the hotel, the location, cleanliness and hospitality was top notch. If I ever visit Barcelona again I would be sure to stop here any time.
Hesperia Barcelona Presidente

We loved our stay at the Hesperia Presidente, very good area to be based for exploring by foot or by public transport. Around fifteen minutes walk to Passeig de Gracia or similar in the other direction along Diagonal to a lovely shopping centre. The staff really go out of their way to assist and were always very friendly and informative. We were in a Junior Suite for three adults, which had a dividing door for privacy - it was initially only set up for two but this was very quickly remedied. The room was quite large, with a great bathroom/fabulous power shower! The hotel has a lovely seating area in reception which was very welcome whilst waiting for our transfer in the evening (they kept our luggage after check out with no issues at all). The area is very busy being on Diagonal but I would feel very safe travelling on my own here - lots of restaurants, bars nearby
Parador de Aiguablava
4.3/541 Reviews
Though there are many things to recommend this hotel and location—fantastic design and décor, stunning views from a panoramic pool and patio area, charming and crystal-clear Aiguablava beach just a short walk down a path from the hotel—my husband and I regretted our choice to stay here on our short, 3-night trip to the Costa Brava at the end of the summer. This was a disappointing stay in several small and easily remedied ways that, together, seemed like the guest experience was an afterthought at Parador de Aiguablava. For context: my husband and I are well-traveled, late 30-something Americans who go to Europe 2-4 times per year for work and holiday and stay in a range of 2-5 star accommodations. Here are the ways in which things fell a bit short, in our opinion: 1) Arrival, check-in, and information-sharing: The strangeness started at arrival, when we drove up the windy hillside road to the isolated hotel and arrived to a small and cramped parking lot with no bellhop or valet. My husband dropped me and our luggage off and I waited in front of the hotel while he carefully weaved his way through the tight lot—there were other cars parked in inappropriate places, in the absence of someone there to help with parking—and then drove about a ¼ mile down the hill to park the car along the road and then hiked back up. What about guests with mobility issues? If this was mid-pandemic, I could understand staff shortages, but not at a 4-star hotel in 2023. At check in, we were given a quick overview of the hotel services by friendly, English-speaking staff, but found ourselves short on information for the rest of our stay. There was no printed information (in any language, nor a QR code/ website) about hotel services, policies, and amenities in the room. This caused small inconveniences; for example: We got ready for the beach shortly after arriving, but it took us 20 minutes to find the path down to the beach when it should have taken us 3. This was in part because we expected a path leading directly from the pool area would go down to the beach, but only after walking a bit we realized that it was a path to the cliffs and did not connect to the beach. It easily could have had signs. We then recalled the check-in staff mentioning the beach was on the lower level and noticed a beach symbol in the elevator, but once getting down to the lower level it took us a moment to figure out we had to cross the lower-level parking lot to find the trail. This was a small thing, but it could have been a seamless experience (rather than a scavenger hunt) with a few more signs or a little more in-room information. 2) Room condition: There were several minor maintenance/cleaning issues in the lovely room that seemed like they could have easily been fixed: mildewy tile, a broken toilet paper holder, beat-up paint in a number of places, and a rusted vanity stool. 3) Coffee: This was, by far, the thing that annoyed us the most because it so easily could be fixed. Ramblas
This is a solid three-star hotel once you get inside. The location is perfect, right on La Rambla, close to the squares and near the cruise port. The entry is a little hard to find and sketchy to say the least. There are three hotels that occupy the building. This hotel has three of the floors. You have to go up to the first floor to get to the lobby. They have a great security system and the interior of the hotel, while dated is nice ad clean. The staff is great especially the you man that helps with the luggage. He was working very hard every time I saw him. The rooms were clean and large, and the bathrooms and showers were great. Actually, the room were very large by most European standards. Our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave as well as a small balcony that overlooked La Rambla. A great location for people watching. The breakfast was substantial, and the 24-hour free beer, wine and snacks were also great. The snacks were really meals. Salads, pasta, bread etc. Lots of room to eat, including a large outside area. The price for what they offer is very reasonable and I would consider a repeat visit.

Because I booked the hotel and hoped to see more information I wanted to know in the evaluation, I would like to tell everyone about my experience, I hope it will help. First, the location of the hotel is not far from Passeig de Gràcia, about 10 minutes walk. There is a diagonal subway station nearby, about 7-8 minutes walk, no 12-13 minutes to the Gracia Metro Station, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera are nearby, completely walkable, and then walk for a while To the Plaza Catalunya, Inglis is on the side of the square, the airport bus, the city tour bus are on the square, so the hotel location is good. The second is that the hotel is a star hotel, facilities and services are good, clean and tidy, I feel that my choice is good, it is recommended. Thirdly, the hotel has a breakfast room 50 meters away from the hotel. The bread and coffee are cheap and good. The hotel is 150 meters away and there is a very popular Catalan restaurant. It is long queued every day. It is only three days before we turn. A meal, tastes good, and the price is not expensive.
Novotel Barcelona Sant Joan Despi

Typical Novotel property, away from the city center but reachable by public transport, direct public transport bus (L77) is available for euro 2.40 to reach the hotel (Last stop) - refer to Google map. Nice and comfortable lobby and room, L-3 tram is available at 400m from the hotel which drops you at the nearest metro station, staff will advise about the same and city center attractions. The room was spacious with all the required amenities The reception staff was very nice special mention to Ms. Paula, she explained to us how to use the public transport in line with the attractions upon our arrival, Ms. Jessica was also great during our checkout Does it have a repeat value? for us Yes. We love to stay in this property again whenever we come to Barcellona.

WILL COME BACK AGAIN FOR SURE! I chose this hotel becos it looked so nice in the photos and it didnt disappoint us at all! The design was gorgeous and was very luxurious, classic yet modern at the same time. Pros: - Front desk staff was very kind and helpful with good English. - Our room was spacious with everything we needed. You dont have to worry about shower gel, shampoo, AND conditioner. Shower/ water pressure was super strong thank god. - Windows were openable and we were facing the main street. Zara, Bershka.. everything is there, also a supermarket (called Aldo? closes at 2100) right next to the hotel. - Breakfast was not included in our package but we accidentally entered and tried and the food was good! Worth to try if you have no plan on what to eat in the morning. - Free coffee on the 1/F for all guests and a very spacious common area there Cons: - Our room was a connection room so the sound proofing was weak, I couldn’t even turn on music when showering cos I felt like I would be complained for sure. - One thing to highlight is the hair dryer - it was the WORST no joke. I understand it has to fit with the hotel design in metal elements but this hair dryer is heavy like a rock. Every time I had to struggle to use it cos it’s like training my arm muscles lol - Not sure why they gave us two single beds putting together but they moved easily so we slept separately all the time lol and the bed itself was too soft? so we felt like earthquake and a bit seasick lol when we turned our bodies.
