Hampton by Hilton Santo Domingo Airport
4.2/5109 Reviews
#Praise# for the size of the room, the lighting in the room, the convenience of transportation, sound insulation, security, and the room layout are satisfactory; the hotel is super close to the airport, the reception service is very good, the breakfast variety is not many, but the basic models are available, like us The food is not large, the nutrition and variety are enough. Toast two slices of bread to make a burger, it feels good
Hotel Costa Linda Beach Boca Chica

I enjoyed this hotel so much that I extended my stay an additional night. It's super convenient to the airport and close to Santo Domingo, but offers a wonderful escape from the hectic city! It is directly facing the beautiful waters of Boca Chica Beach and close to surfing at La Boya. The rooms have been recently updated and are very comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to the south coast of the Dominican Republic.
Hotel Whala!Boca Chica - All Inclusive

Hotel well placed near the capital San Domiguo and the airport. Regarding the logistics of arrival, difficult to have explanations in French (beach linen with deposit, possibility to book at the themed restaurant if take 2 to 3 days before) The New Year's Eve buffet on the 31 Exeptionnel. Beautiful and very good. Too bad we were on the 1st service at 6.30 p.m. Holiday season and very festive in the evening with quite loud music Our comfortable and very well placed room with sea view. Hearty buffet for all tastes. Hotel value for money correct.
Acuarium Suite Resort

Positives: Great clean pool, and professional in talking. Very friendly staff. Shower was good hot water. A lot of good local restaurants and takeaways close by to sample Dominican food. One of the staff members was always smiling when trying to help, Thank you Francisco for your efforts. Very positive: due to the number of people in our party, the hotel accommodated us to move from a pair of 2 second floor rooms to the ground floor, and were very understanding, thank you for that! Hotel located very close to main highway. Negatives: Very poor wifi quality, 1 of 4 rooms had 2 big cockroaches, leaking facet caused wet floors, the tv picture quality was bad. Staff respond to requests but it took time to resolve issues, ex. getting towels. The kitchens were in need of maintenance- cupboards broken, and very little cutlery available, This hotel needs a lot of maintenance to get it up to scratch. Laundry charges per item, be careful, we got charged heavily as charges are per item and depends on the item. It is NOT close to a beach, its close to a waterfront walk (not swimming beach). Note- if you do not speak spanish, make sure you have a translating tool.
Quality Hotel Real Aeropuerto Santo Domingo

My layover in SDQ was utilized for resting. I did enjoy my room. It was clean with all the amenities. I enjoyed sleeping long hours without any interruptions. The members of Staff were pleasant and service in the restaurant was quick. The hotel is in close proximity to the SDQ airport and was ideal for my layover. Taxis were available at the behest of the front desk.
Hotel Vicentina

This hotel has many good and bad points. I arrived in the night. The hotel heavily over charges for the price of taxi which I was disappointed to realise when I arrived in the Dominican Republic. I arrived at night to one member of staff on shift who was friendly and helped me to my room. The first room was like a broom cupboard. There was no wardrobe no mirror no nothing. In the morning I asked to be moved rooms. I was told they were full and only one room available. The room I intended to move too was a little better but the safe was broken which resulted in another move. The third room was perfect for me. The room had windows with a view to the street and was lighter than the other two. The breakfast was nice. There two breakfast staff members a man who was friendly and a rather unhappy looking and acting older lady. At the breakfast one day they ran out of vegetable so I had cheese instead which was chargeable. I thought this was a bit unfair as they had ran out of veg I had no other option. Another issue with breakfast is coffee pots not being full and too many guests meaning sometimes you have to sit around waiting for breakfast. I booked two tour through the hotel at the time of booking on the website the tours were charged at $75. For some reason by the staff I was charged $80 per trip. The trip to Catalina was worth the money however saona was not. I wouldn’t book trips via the hotel again as you can find a better price liasing with locals on the street. Instead of cleaning the room daily as travellers would expect you have to request it daily with staff. Even when requesting for the room to be cleaned it still may not be done. This happened to me one day and all that was offered was sheets and towels no actual cleaning. The pool is an absolute joke. How it ca be considered a pool is beyond me. The ‘pool’ is a disconnected hot tub filled with standing water. Even a child could not swim in that pool. If you are booking this hotel with a pool in mind go elsewhere. All in all this hotel is ok. Money hungry behaviour was not necessary and staff hounding me over $1 for cheese when I’d overpaid for the tours not necessary. I’m not sure if I’d stay at this hotel again however I would definitely return to boca chica.
Hotel Casa Coco
3.9/545 Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay @ hotel casa coco. Very nice people there, kind and helpful with everything. It obviously got renovated recently and has all new furniture. Nice and modern style. Very good AC, ceiling fan, hot and cold water, a safe to store your valuables, a small fridge and even a desk you can use to work on your laptop. Daily cleaning of the rooms is included. The pool has cristal clear water and the entire place is kept very neat and clean. Besides the pool there´s a nice restaurant with a bar where you can have breakfast and some cold drinks. This hotel is very unique. Very central location, close to the beach but also very quiet. It has everything you need for a relaxed stay at price that is hard to beat. This is our number one address in Boca Chica now.
Boca Grande Hotel Suites

Hotel Garant & Suites
4.2/591 Reviews
I have stayed at the Garant on a number of occasions. It is located near the beach and Duarte street, where the action is, and a number of nearby restaurants. Breakfast is free and there are a number of excellent selections on the menu. The hotel is also guest friendly with good security. Highly recommended !!
Hotel Neptuno Refugio
3.8/570 Reviews
This is a little gem of a hotel. It is family owned and it shows. The staff was always there to help with anything. It's basically located across the street from the beaches and restaurants. We were able to just walk the beaches, get drinks, go to the supermarket, go to the local gym (planet fitness), fish markets, local food stalls, and rent a boat for the day at the local marina. The hotel helped us rent a nice boat for the day for $300. We sat on a little was out off the beach and had a great day. Hotel is also very close to Santo Domingo for a day trip in as long as you go in off hours, because traffic around here can be crazy. The restaurants in this area are fantastic, albeit a little expensive for Dominican standards. But the restaurant right across the street (Neptunos) really was a great all day place to eat and swim and relax. I think this has to be one of the best deals in the area based on proximity to beaches, restaurants, good area, and super close to the airport.
