"Great location, within a 5-minute walk to the central station. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The suite is on the top floor (5th floor), which is a nice touch.
The room layout was a little unusual, with a narrow walkway and sloped ceilings due to the roof design. The shower area, including the alcove tub, felt somewhat awkward and may be less convenient for taller guests. There was also an RGB light above the shower, which was an interesting design choice (who uses red lighting for showering?)
The building has some old-world charm, though the room's floor creaked noticeably when walking around. The small balcony was pleasant, but the view was fairly average.
Overall, a good stay for the location, though some aspects of the room design could be improved."

The only minor downside is that it's a bit far from public transportation (the subway), about a 15-minute walk. Still, it's okay.
Another nice touch is that the mini-bar in the room offers a few complimentary drinks and snacks. I was in a rush though, so I didn't get to try any of them, which felt a bit like a waste, haha."

"The room can be good for a single or a couple. The thing is that the shower was extremely tiny. I am a 1.50 cm tall girl and I struggled in the shower because it was so small. The toilet is okay. The sink ok. I didn't see any fan or AC. I saw a heater but I went during summer. The wi-fi worked well. The hotel is quiet. They have elevator and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was very simple: coffee, shot of ginger, granola with yogurt, an apple and a croissant. You can have it at the lobby restaurant or they can pack it to you. It was very nice that every day after 5 pm they give you a glass of wine for free. Around the hotel there were restaurants and the train station was a walking distance. I would stay here for the location but if you are BIG you might not fit in the shower."

"This is a fantastic hotel with excellent management. Since we booked a room at the last minute, it wasn't ready yet. The front desk helped us find a place to rest while we waited for our room key. After five minutes, they apologized for the wait and upgraded our room. The staff were incredibly welcoming; everyone greeted us proactively. The room was very comfortable, and I loved the decor—all the raw materials like wool, linen, wood, and stone. Entering the room felt incredibly relaxing; I really appreciated the natural materials. The breakfast was fantastic and delicious. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Copenhagen; I loved it!"

"We had a good stay at Downtown hostel, the location was perfect and close to everything, the breakfast was good for the price, but i wish the check-in process was easier, for us and also the receptionists who were very helpful still but we kept having issues with our cabine room door, the digital code worked once in a while :(. The rooms are poorly soundproofed which was quite disturbing…also we forgot a console in our cabin room the day of our check out and contacted the hostel by email but never got an answer back…"

There’s a connecting-corridor between the airport and the hotel, so no need to worry if it’s cold and raining outside. CCYNTHIA TAN YUCHIHAfter arriving at the airport, getting to the hotel required a taxi, as public transport wasn't convenient. However, the taxi fare wasn't cheap either. I'd recommend heading into the city early unless absolutely necessary to stay here.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk.
It was a bit inconvenient that you had to go to the front desk to get a kettle for hot water.
The room was on the smaller side.
But it did have a microwave, which was great for heating up food!

The room, though not large, was well-designed, clean, and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and all basic amenities were provided. The bathroom was a bit compact, but perfectly functional for daily use. The hotel offers self-service check-in and check-out, which was simple and convenient.
The hotel's location is excellent, close to both the Ørestad Metro and train stations, all within walking distance. There's also the large Fields shopping center nearby. It's super convenient for getting to Copenhagen city center by metro or Copenhagen Airport by train, making it ideal for tourists.
Breakfast was also more extensive than I expected, with croissants, bread, ham, salami, cheese, eggs, and vegetables like cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and bell peppers. There was a good variety, and it was a very decent hotel breakfast.
The only thing I think could be improved is the soundproofing in the rooms; it's a bit weak. Sometimes I could hear noise from the hallway or other rooms, which might be an issue for light sleepers.
Overall, with its convenient transportation, clean rooms, good breakfast, and decent value for money, it was a very satisfactory stay. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Copenhagen.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the city centre. All the major tourist attractions are within walking distance, and the surroundings are beautiful and feel safe to walk around. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with a direct connection to the airport, and Tivoli Gardens is extremely close by.
The hotel is always busy and lively. I was a little concerned about safety because I had to catch a bus to the airport at 3 a.m., but the bus stop was very close, and there were always people around the hotel area. The staff are also available 24/7.
You will be lucky if you get clean, quiet, and considerate roommates. The bathroom is quite small, and I think the lower bunk located right next to the bathroom is probably the most inconvenient bed, as you have to deal with quite a lot of noise. The lockers in the rooms are not large enough to fit a cabin-sized suitcase and can only accommodate a small backpack. You also need to bring your own padlock, and I would recommend bringing slippers as well. The bed itself looked clean, but the storage compartments and the gaps around the bed were quite dirty. However, considering how large and busy the hotel is, I can understand that it may be difficult to keep every area perfectly clean at all times.

GGuest UserI and my son stayed for 3 days (btw 26-29 May ) at a Deluxe Room at 5th floor. Hotel Location was very close to TIVOLI and Central Station. Room was clean and wide. I stayed on ”Breakfast included” basis.. Since I am an omelette or scrambled egg person at breakfast, the breakfast menu was sufficient for me because omelette and scrambled egg they were included under breakfast menu. . However, I've seen same star hotels with much more richer breakfasts of course.
1) Our 5th floor room was reachable via 2 elevators. Firrst you take an elevator and go to 1st floor. Then at 1st floor you walk through a looong coridor. I guess, after this long walk we reach to an additional building of hotel which you cannot understand.. From there you get the elevator again and reach 5th floor. ( I stayed at room 1503 )
2) Everyday the room was cleaned.
3) The reastaurant staff was very friendly and they were giving service in a very kind way.
4) The reception staff; They did not do anything wrong, but normally I expect a larger smile and more welcoming, energyc, warm attitudes when I step in a hotel. I do not know why I could not feel this at this hotel reception. Secondly, when the Italian male receptionst asked me about my room choice when checking in ( room with a view OR quite room looking at inner garden ), I said I prefer the room with VIEW. However, when I was choosing the room with view, I did not know that room was looking at a street where ROAD CONSTRUCTION was going on. He only told me that street can be crowded only during weekend. I said we will leave until weekend so I thought that I will not be effected from any street noise at a evening. But a CONSTRUCTION NOISE during day that he did not mention was not nice.
Overall, it is a nice hotel. But ask where your room is exactly located and ask if you will reach by 1 or 2 elevators.

KKS-GermanyWakeup Copenhagen - Carsten Niebuhrs Gade: After a nightmare stay at City Hotel Nebo (Istedgade 6, 1650 København V, Denmark) where I couldn't sleep and my skin was itching due to dirty conditions including hair in the sink and no hygiene products available, Wakeup Copenhagen was my salvation. Immaculate cleanliness, modern minimalist room on 8th floor with marvelous city view, comfortable bed where I finally slept after 48 hours of exhaustion, clean shower with good water pressure, good quality breakfast, very good reception lobby, perfect location near Dybbølsbro Station (500m) and easy access to Copenhagen Bus Terminal for my FlixBus, excellent value at €62-70. Rating: 9/10. Compared to City Hotel Nebo (-3/10), this was heaven. The contrast was shocking - from dirty and uncomfortable to clean, modern, and peaceful. This hotel saved my trip and gave me the rest I needed to enjoy my last day in Copenhagen. Absolutely recommended for solo travelers who value cleanliness! Thank you Trip.com and Wakeup Copenhagen! 🙏

GGuest UserThe hostel was easy to find, few minutes from the metro which was important to me. Every staffmember was really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was welcoming. The tent was small for 4 persons but I knew that I will mostly just sleep there, the bed was comfortable and clean. I read in other reviews that a curtain would be nice, I agree with that also. The bathroom was really big, plenty of showers and toilets, there was hot water every time which was also important to me. I had breakfast on a few days, which was also good and I really liked sitting in the outside tables, I also had a chance to connect with other travellers every day. On the last day I left my luggage in one of the lockers so I could explore the city freely, that was also a good bonus. They provided earplugs, which I used during my sleep, overall all ”campers” were respectful and quiet after 10 pm but still it was a lot of people in a small space. For solo travellers this is a good choice as the hotel prices are 4-5 times higher.
