Specifically came to Suzhou's Dongshan for the white jade loquats this weekend, but opted not to stay at Dongshan Hotel this time. Instead, we drove an hour back to the city to stay at Wu Palace. It was my first time here, and our room was on the first floor. The lobby is on the third floor, so we had to take the elevator down to the first floor, then navigate a bit to find our room. With two elderly people, it was a little inconvenient. However, my family unanimously agreed that the hotel's ambiance is quite unique, and decided that next time we visit Suzhou, we'll definitely choose Wu Palace again (they specifically told me to book a room on the 3rd floor)😁.
It's loquat season now, and the two loquat trees in the courtyard are perfectly in theme. Amidst the white walls and black tiles, loquats hang from the branches. I woke up early to snap a few photos📸 of the loquat trees. Being under the trees, everything felt so fresh🤤.

The interior decor shows its age, and there's only one elevator. However, the room features smart controls, good hygiene, and comfortable bedding. The location is excellent – the subway and bus stops are both within 200 meters. A taxi to Humble Administrator's Garden is only about 16 yuan. The beef noodle and bun shops directly opposite the hotel are both delicious. I'd especially like to commend the young man and woman at the front desk on the 27th during the day; their service was warm, sincere, and very thorough. They proactively upgraded our room because we had a child with us, which I really appreciate. I'm very satisfied.

This trip was absolutely fantastic! We stayed for two nights, opting for family rooms so the kids could have separate beds, allowing one adult to rest comfortably. We started in Room 11 for the first night, then moved to Room 18. Honestly, just booking Room 18 would have been enough – the facilities were excellent, the environment was beautiful, and they even had peacocks, rabbits, and a game room. The hotel shuttle was incredibly convenient. We took the kids around to feed the rabbits, koi, ducks, and swans, and even saw peacocks displaying their feathers. The service was also top-notch. We tried out Qu Yuan, Shan Restaurant, and 7 Chi 8 Ba, and all of them were delicious. We accessed Slender West Lake via the hotel's convenient gate, where we took a boat ride with the kids and fed pigeons. The breakfast buffet at Building 18 was also amazing, with a wide variety of options, leaning towards Western fare, including various cheeses and omelets. We were already planning our next visit before we even checked out. Next time, we won't even need to leave the hotel; there's plenty to do right here!

Location: Super convenient! Confucius Temple, Fuguo Street, Suning Mall, Golden Eagle, Hubushan, and Huilongwo are all within walking distance. The subway station is right downstairs, which is a huge plus, especially during Golden Week when traffic can be a nightmare. It's definitely a landmark building in the absolute city center.
Cleanliness: Better than expected, but since it's on a high floor, all the windows are sealed. I personally prefer good ventilation.
Facilities: Better than expected, but the hairdryer was a bit basic.
Service: The housekeeping staff and the cheerful young man who seated us in the restaurant were all very polite and genuinely enthusiastic, not just mechanically so.

Ten days at Jinling Hotel gave us something more precious than just good service – it gave us friendship.
Through this platform, I want to sincerely express our family's gratitude to Jinling Hotel Nanjing. Thank you to every staff member who offered us their warm assistance during our most difficult and helpless moments.
We checked into Jinling Hotel on May 12th. On the evening of May 13th, I unfortunately fell and got injured. What followed deeply moved us.
That night, Manager Guo, who was on duty at the concierge desk, personally helped me purchase medicine and crutches online and had them delivered to our room. He also proactively communicated with relevant departments to arrange all the necessary details for my orthopedic doctor's appointment the next day. It was past 3 AM by the time everything was settled. That night, though we were far from home, our hearts felt incredibly at peace.
Early on the morning of May 14th, Supervisor Zhang, who was on duty in the lobby, specifically arranged for a young staff member, Xiao Guan, to accompany us to the hospital. He repeatedly instructed Xiao Guan on every detail of accompanying a patient: how to ensure our safety, how to assist with the medical procedures... That kind of family-like care instantly warmed our hearts.
And Xiao Guan certainly lived up to that trust. He was enthusiastic, meticulous, and vibrant, accompanying us for the consultation, X-rays, queueing for payments, picking up medicine, and arranging taxis for our round trip. He was like our own child, giving us a sense of reliance in a foreign place.
Li Hong and Liu Yan from housekeeping also provided meticulous help after my injury. When they learned the doctor required me to lie flat with my feet elevated to heart level, Li Hong immediately brought hard pillows to prop up my feet. Fearing I couldn't go out for fresh air, she promptly opened the small window for ventilation. She also thoughtfully provided hangers and patiently taught us how to use the equipment to dry clothes. To ensure we could recover in peace, they brought a fruit platter every day. Li Hong even specially got a tightening strap from the engineering department to reinforce the underarm pads of my crutches.
All these tangible acts of care warmed and deeply touched us.
I want to say that it is the excellent qualities of each and every one of you that form the most brilliant team image of Jinling Hotel. You are the best calling card for Jinling Hotel. I hope more people will know our story, and I also hope that more friends visiting Nanjing will definitely stay at Jinling – here, you will find the 'home away from home' experience you desire, and even more, a warm, family-like experience.
Sincere thanks to Jinling Hotel, for cultivating such a high-quality, excellent team with so much heart!

Hotel location inside Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) zone is excellent. Stepping out from the hotel entrance into the pedestrian-only street are tonnes of restaurants and stalls.( Everyday I was spoiled for food choices.) Yet, the hotel remains sheltered, calm and insulated from the outside festivities. The room I stayed for 4 nights was spacious, clean with air-conditioning. Shower water pressure and hot water was excellent. Everyday a bag of fruits (banana, orange, apple, pear, cherry tomatoes...) were dropped off. All the snacks and drinks in the room were included (free). Overall, the hotel was not luxurious (in the traditional 5-star sense) but contains a captivating charm that transport one back to Chinese antiquity. It was a pleasant stay. One minor blemish was the in-room safe not working as it should. Reception said hardly any guests use the room safe. That's understandable given the overall safe environment.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Andu! A beautiful hotel in a very central location. Through a small entrance you reach the second floor, where you find a peaceful oasis of calm.
Beautiful, quiet rooms with a very comfortable bed, a great shower and a fridge stocked with water and soft drinks. The breakfast was also well taken care of.
What really made the difference was the service: extremely friendly and helpful staff, including assistance with arranging transport. Highly recommended!

The hotel is right opposite Guanqian Street, so the location is excellent and super convenient for shopping. I appreciate that you don't need a key card to get electricity, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel feels quite new and is clean. Our family room was spacious and bright. However, it was quite noisy facing the street, and the soundproofing of the room door wasn't great. Being close to the elevator, there was constant noise from people passing by in the hallway, especially since we had to use our key card to go up to our room ourselves and weren't escorted. It was hard to find, and people would often linger and talk right outside our door, which woke us up throughout the night.
The breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted good. There's also a late-night snack service, and if you order takeout, a robot delivers it to your door.
Overall, it was okay, but on Sunday afternoon, there were many people smoking in the hotel lobby. As soon as you stepped out of the elevator, it reeked of smoke, and no one seemed to be doing anything about it, which was very unpleasant. I might consider staying here again if I'm traveling alone or with just one other person, but I definitely wouldn't choose it for a family trip again.

My relatives came to Changzhou for a visit, so I booked them into the Reekte Hotel. The hotel quality is really high, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there's a great variety at breakfast. The front desk service was also excellent; they even upgraded our room for free because we had a child with us. I'm very satisfied! I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

CChuntianrannaifenBooked this place for a business trip to Nanjing and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, with a large bay window offering excellent natural light. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

AAnonymous UserAmazing stay and my favourite hotel amongst all the others this trip. Reception were friendly and helpful, and the room was very bright and spacious. It was amazing to have the room’s windowoverlook Pingjiang street and the canal. There are plenty of food and drinks options right outside the hotel and a short walk away. Great hotel to stay if you enjoy the traditional atmosphere of Suzhou.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!
The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help!
The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning!
The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

GGuest UserBring your family to Yangzhou to participate in the marathon, and experience the beauty of Yangzhou in March of fireworks! When booking a room, I thought about getting closer to the starting point and finding this hotel. The unexpected stay experience made us feel what it is to be at home! The staff's service is warm and thoughtful, and the fruit and competition refueling package are specially presented! The hotel is fully equipped and the rooms are elegantly decorated. Because the marathon starts early, the hotel also serves breakfast in advance, and the breakfast category is quite rich! The hotel even provided a shuttle bus to send us to the starting point! After running back, I ate directly at the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel. Huaiyang specialties were very delicious! Thank you very much for the thoughtful service of the hotel staff to let me go smoothly in Yangma PB! Next time I come to Yangzhou, I will choose Mingfa Hotel!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the old location of Suzhou so the surrounding areas are all full of cultural experiences. The location is ideal for visiting several gardens such as The Couple's Retreat Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Humble Administrator's Garden (all within walking distance). However, it is a bit difficult to reach by car, as you would have to cross a small bridge and go over slightly rough roads (not ideal for multiple luggage, especially large ones).
The hotel breakfast is soup noodles, with 8 different options, and it comes with a dessert (mung bean cake, a local specialty). It does get a bit tiring and repetitive once you eat it for a long time though. But, there are plenty of other alternative options up and down the street the hotel is located in. Various food stalls, restaurants, and even bakeries are all located within walking distance. The hotel also provides a ticketed experience to a local activity known as 评弹, a type of operatic singing famous for its soothing sound and tendency to invoke sleepiness.
The hotel rooms are neat and kept clean with no odor. Throughout the hotel, a pleasing scent was smelled and it seems that one could buy the same scent from one of the various stalls open on the street. The bathroom amenities include: hair dryer, bath robes, toothbrushes, a vanity set, razor, and a comb (along with another item that slipped my mind). The toilet is automated and has a heated seat. Unfortunately, the showers are a bit difficult to use (low water pressure and difficulty in setting temperature). There are three settings for the shower: overhead, handheld, and spout. The rooms that we ordered (two single beds) included a sitting room furnished with a rocking chair and a mini fridge (drinks inside have to be paid for). The water bottles placed outside the fridge and the snacks on the table are complimentary and free of charge. The hotel also has a laundry machine that both washes and dries the clothes. Sadly, it doesn't properly dry clothes if more than 1.5 sets of clothing are placed inside. Drying racks and clothing hangers are provided for such scenarios. Laundry baskets were also provided. The hotel does not have elevators, given the antiquity of the neighborhood, so heavy luggage and suitcases have to be carried by hand up the stairs.
The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful with anything we needed. We had a total of 8 suitcases (5 checked and 3 carry-ons) and the staff (overnight as we checked in at around 12 AM) voluntarily led us to the room and helped carry our bags up. When we ran into a problem with the laundry machine, the staff helped clear up the misunderstanding.
Attached are photos of the lobby (picture of the table with the tea sets), the hotel room that was booked (the other room looked the same, just mirrored placement), the sitting room, and complimentary food that was provided.
