The Qi Wang Lou Hotel(Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort) was originally a royal garden inside Chengde's feature attraction, the Imperial Summer Villa and gardens, a UNESCO world heritage site and China's largest Imperial gardens. Thanks to its privileged location, the hotel has played host to a number of global political leaders. For business travelers, small conference rooms are on hand for private events and meetings.
"If you want to fully explore the Chengde Mountain Resort, then avoid the summer holidays and stay at the Qi Wang Lou. While a bit pricey, it's truly worth it.
It's only a 292-meter walk to the main gate of the resort, and the hotel itself is a historical site. The Qi Wang Lou was built in 1750 and is the sixth of the thirty-six scenic spots named by Emperor Qianlong within the Mountain Resort. With only 57 rooms, it's like staying directly in Emperor Qianlong's grand study. There are even trees personally planted by Qianlong in the courtyard, along with deer, peacocks, and cats kept by the hotel. In the mornings, the deer roam around.
The key is that there are fewer crowds and the scenery is beautiful; it actually feels more like a scenic spot than the crowded main resort. This time, I was with family, so we chose a two-bedroom suite. To my surprise, it was the same type of suite used by dignitaries – spacious, comfortable, quiet, and clean. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights, and it was quite good.
Every staff member was kind, friendly, and attentive."

"The room was incredibly small, with no table or chairs, and the decor was very basic – essentially motel-grade. Even for peak season, nearly 600 a night felt ridiculously overpriced, especially when other places like Blue Coast Xi Xi were around 500. I didn't book there because of poor cleanliness reviews.
I'm a light sleeper, so I specifically asked for a quiet room. Instead, they gave me a room where the bed was right by the door, so I could hear every sound from the hallway. On the other side of the bed was a window, and something outside kept humming and buzzing, making noise. Around midnight, there was an emergency power outage and repairs. We figured we'd just try to sleep through it, but an emergency light in the room stayed on, making it impossible to sleep. Customer service said the light was connected to the fire system and couldn't be turned off, so we just had to lie there with our eyes open until the repairs were done before we could shower and go to bed.
The service, however, was quite good. They were very responsive; anything we needed was brought quickly. The cleanliness was also decent, though there was no towel rack, so the bath towels placed under the sink were always damp. The facilities seemed relatively new.
The restaurant food was quite good and perfect for families with kids. Since most nearby restaurants serve seafood home-style dishes, this place offered a mix of Chinese and Western simple meals. Everything tasted freshly made. It was very friendly for people like us who don't like seafood and don't want KFC or McDonald's.
For anything else, just check the photos."

"After a twenty-day trip through Yunnan, I stopped in Shijiazhuang for a night on my way back to Beijing. I booked the Hilton because I was having dinner with a friend at China House on the second floor of the hotel.
The hotel lobby is on the 31st floor, so you have to check in there first, and then take another elevator up to the 40-something floor for your room. This back-and-forth can be a bit inconvenient, especially when ordering takeout. You either have to pick it up yourself or wait for hotel staff to deliver it, as external deliveries aren't allowed in, and there don't seem to be any robots either.
Overall, the hotel environment is quite good. Being on a high floor, you get nice city views.
The toilet in the room isn't automatic.
The shower water pressure was good, and the room was quite spacious.
All the drinks and water in the fridge are chargeable. There's a 600 RMB deposit required per room upon check-in, which is refunded to your original payment method upon checkout. Parking is free in the underground garage.
There's a shopping mall nearby.
The hotel is about 7 kilometers from Shijiazhuang Station, roughly a 20-minute car ride."

"My stay at Jinshi International was absolutely perfect! I especially want to highlight the buffet breakfast and the free shuttle service. The breakfast had a great variety, blending both Chinese and Western options. The local donkey meat pancake and lamb intestine soup were authentic, and they even had low-fat whole grains and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, so I could eat healthily even while on a diet. The dishes were refilled promptly and were clean and fresh. I pre-booked the shuttle to the high-speed rail station, and the driver was waiting on time, actively helping with my luggage. It saved me both hassle and money getting to and from the station. The room was clean, and the service was thoughtful and meticulous. All my travel and dining needs were well taken care of. This is my top choice for business travel, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Cangzhou."

"Excellent! Absolutely fantastic! They even have EV charging stations in the courtyard, which is a huge plus for us driving all the way from Beijing. The courtyard is spacious, and it's so close to the sea – very relaxing! Parking is also super convenient.
The room was very clean, and the facilities were new. The air conditioning was quite advanced, with modes like 'comfort breeze' and 'sleep' functions.
The room featured large, panoramic windows, providing excellent natural light.
Both the front desk staff, the young lady and gentleman, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. When I asked about the gym, someone immediately escorted me there. "Stayed here on the second day of my competition. Overall, the facilities were quite good. It has a bamboo-themed decor. I booked a mountain view room with a balcony. Some rooms have them, some don't, and I later switched to one with a balcony. My online booking was 20 yuan more expensive than the walk-in rate, so if you're not in a hurry, it's worth checking the on-site prices before booking to compare. The room had two bathrooms. The toilet and shower were separate, and there was plenty of space. The room itself was also very large and even had a sofa. The air was incredibly fresh, and the views were stunning. It was also super convenient to get to Genting Theme Park. The air conditioning worked great. The only minor issue was that the bed creaked every time I turned over. Breakfast was excellent too, with a wide variety of options. I get the feeling this place would be incredibly convenient for skiing, as the slopes lead right to the hotel. I'd definitely come back in winter if I get the chance."

"We came to dive with friends. The hotel is conveniently located; just take the elevator to the second floor to reach the dive shop. The room key is quite unique.
The hotel is new, though there's still a slight smell of paint. The rooms are spacious with balconies, and the bedding is comfortable. The layout is smooth. Currently, there's no dedicated breakfast restaurant.
The location is a bit out of the way, more like a development zone. It's very close to the old town; you can drive there for about 10 minutes to get to many restaurants."

XinbuzaiyanyaThis is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

powerQiuIt was already noon when we arrived, and the front desk kindly allowed us to check in early. They also prepared the extra bed rail and mineral water we requested. The chaise lounge in the room was incredibly useful for me; my child could play, sleep, and watch TV on it easily.
🍚 Breakfast: For children over 1.2m, there's an extra charge of 40 yuan. The variety was decent, mostly cold cuts or processed sausages for meat, with plenty of carbs, vegetables, and fruits. They also offered a savory milk tea, which was quite good.
🛝 The hotel has a small game room with a mini slide and trampoline, suitable for toddlers. It's a nice touch.
🏊 The pool costs 10 yuan per person for guests, and it's also open to the public. We participated in a promotional event that waived the fee. The changing rooms were clean. The pool isn't huge but sufficient, and there's a small mushroom pool with a higher temperature than the main pool, which was great. My little one had a lot of fun, and you can see the mountains and cable car from outside the pool area, offering nice views.
Areas for improvement:
We stayed on the 3rd floor. There might have been an odor from the sink, and the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan, so the air felt stuffy. We kept the windows and doors open, but thankfully, there were no mosquitoes.
Overall, I feel we chose the right hotel. After looking around, it seems much better than the Crowne Plaza.

This is by far the most recommended hotel within Thaiwoo Ski Town. It's super convenient to drive straight into the underground garage. The rooms are very spacious, and the sofa bed can be pulled out to sleep an extra person, making it very family- and kid-friendly. There's a small balcony where you can enjoy tea and sunbathe, with a lovely, refreshing breeze. The hotel has its own activity space downstairs, offering various small programs daily, perfect for letting the kids run around freely. The hotel also has its own restaurant, and the buffet dinner is excellent and very reasonably priced when they have promotions. Plus, there's a McDonald's and other restaurants within the hotel building, so dining is very convenient. The hotel isn't far from the town's main commercial street, within walking distance, and there's also a free shuttle bus. We visited in late August, and it was an amazing escape from the summer heat; it would be even more convenient for skiing in winter. The hotel service was excellent; upon check-in, the front desk proactively informed me about all the packages available with my room. It's a hotel worth revisiting and highly recommending! I forgot to take photos of the hotel, so here are some scenic shots from the surrounding area instead.

YongKGThe Hilton Garden Inn Chengde Summer Palace is perfectly located. It's a ten-minute walk to the Summer Palace, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and there's a gym and self-service laundry room. The hotel is a converted building, so the rooms are a bit small, there are few elevators, and street-facing rooms can be noisy. There's no executive lounge or in-room mini-fridge, and parking can be tight during peak season. It's ideal for travelers primarily visiting the Summer Palace and prioritizing convenience.

PanghuhuroudundunThis time I came during the start of the seafood season, but it wasn't peak season yet, so there were far fewer people. The lower floors were cheaper, while the higher-floor sea view rooms were more expensive. Standard rooms were affordable, but those with family-friendly tents or designs cost more. Currently, the first and second canteens are not open, but they will be during peak season. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the beach. Inside the resort, there are individually-owned electric vehicles available for one, two, three, or four people, with different models. The price is a bit high at 69 yuan per hour. However, these are not affiliated with the hotel, so if there are any issues or disputes, the hotel will not intervene. The hotel's front desk and housekeeping staff were very professional; they immediately provided room service even when called late at night. Many thanks!

YangRRThis is my second time visiting Wulingshan, and I chose Lanye Hotel again~ I've been eating breakfast at Shangu (Valley) restaurant, and I'm very satisfied, having eaten there for two consecutive days. I especially love the wild vegetable buns. The hotel was also incredibly thoughtful; knowing I was pregnant, they prepared an air purifier and a pregnancy pillow for me~ They also arranged for a high-floor room, so it wasn't noisy at all. They really put their heart into it!

The hotel service was absolutely wonderful! The staff were professional and kind, making the service experience excellent. They patiently answered all questions without any hint of impatience, and even helped us with a late check-out. Issues were resolved very quickly, and we received complimentary welcome fruit. The facilities are very new and don't feel old-fashioned; they're the best among hotels in the same price range. I highly recommend experiencing Wuzhou! The guest rooms are spacious with fantastic views from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and luxury amenities like a Dyson hairdryer and a scenic bathtub are all included. The breakfast selection is rich, and the local Ban Mian noodles taste authentic. Service response is very fast, and the robot delivery is super convenient. The environment is quiet and upscale, offering much better value for money than other hotels in the same price bracket – highly recommended! The ceiling-to-sky heated swimming pool is the biggest highlight! The water is clear and clean, the space is open, and the temperature is just right. It's free for guests, making it incredibly relaxing and great for photos.

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

I've stayed in Thaiwoo a few times, but this was my first time at AB&Hotel. Our family of four was very satisfied. The indoor facilities are complete, and the soundproofing is excellent. The view outside is also beautiful; opening the window is like looking at a watercolor painting. The hotel's dining is also superb, serving Shunde cuisine that's light and suitable for all ages. Most importantly, it's pet-friendly! You can bring your beloved dog. Traveling with a pet makes the trip perfect! Additionally, the hotel is very attentive to the elderly, with incredibly warm service.

Guest UserOur family stayed at Nuoan Yuanjin, and our butler, Wendy, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout. When we booked the deck time, I was concerned about mosquitos for the kids since it's outdoors, and I shared my worries with Wendy. She informed me beforehand that mosquito repellent would be available on-site and even helped reserve a more suitable seating area for us.
During the deck time, we enjoyed some drinks and snacks, and it was a very comfortable and relaxing experience for the whole family. Afterward, she proactively asked about our dining experience. For daily needs, whether it was calling for the shuttle or requesting extra amenities for the room, communication was simple and efficient. The service was genuinely sincere, without any pretense or empty words. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again the next time I visit Aranya.
